New wheels and tires vibration

On a 2025 vw gli, I recently changed my tires & wheels set up to 235/40 Dimax Radar R8+ tires with Fast FCO4 8"x18" E40 wheels.
Ever since, I’m mainly feeling vibration in my steering wheel specially at high speeds.

  1. Steering wheel is stable, there's no shaking, wobbling or pulling and i have complete control over the car even at speeds a high as 130-200 kph. I do feel the same amount of vibration on brake pedal but there's no pulsing and vibration doesn't escalate when i brake.

  2. They're balanced properly and road force check (not balance) on hunter machine for both front tires came 6 & 8. After that I rotated my fronts to back and was still getting same vibration.

  3. The plastic hub centric rings sit flush and tight on the center hub, but i noticed they all have stress marks and shears on them, one of them had a cracked piece on the outer edge. So I got aluminum ones, it seemed vibration got less intense, but it’s still there.

  4. Bolts are cone shape not oem. But everytime i take them off, they leave some dust type residue on the wheels, not sure where they come from and not sure if it means bolts are cheap quality and is contributing to vibration!

What could the cause for vibration be? Do I need to spend the money on road force balancing, even tho road force check came back below 10? It’s driving me nuts after spending all this money…

Help with vibration

On a 2025 vw gli, I recently changed my tires & wheels set up to 235/40 Dimax Radar R8+ tires with Fast FCO4 8"x18" E40 wheels while oem is 225/45
Hankook Kinergy GT tires with 7.5"x18" E49 wheels.
Ever since, I'm feeling vibration in my steering wheel specially at high speeds. I don't feel it in my back or the seat, only at front.

  2. The center hub size for my car is 57.1mm and for the wheel is 72.6 mm. The plastic hub centric rings sit flush and tight on the center hub, there's no play to them and same is for inside the wheels. Bolts are cone shape as well not oem

  3. They're balanced properly and road force check on hunter machine for both front tires came 6 & 8

  4. In city drive, there's a minimal feel in the steering wheels but if you're driving in a street full of small potholes, the movement masks the initial vibration. But while cruising on smooth roads you'll feel it and feel it more as you gain speed
