AMS Catching on fire…

I really don’t know where to go from here. Pics 2 and 3 are the aftermath of the printer randomly shutting down during a print, followed by a dead AMS when it started back up. Contacted Bambu support, they sent me a link to purchase a new mainboard for $60, saying my printer was out of warranty. Alas, the new board caught fire as soon as I turned the printer on (see pic 1). I was extremely careful to ensure everything got plugged into the correct connectors. I have never disassembled my AMS prior to this issue. I checked all resistances across the pins according to Bambu’s debugging guides, voltage is correct on the power pins. I can’t afford to buy a new AMS for this, and I’m not sure what to check next.

Any insight would be so so nice.

Uh… guys?

Don’t worry, this adapter has since been incinerated for its crimes.

Edit: maybe I should elaborate a bit because people are saying this is normal. Yes, some voltage on the ground is to be expected on an ungrounded power supply, however, in this case it had enough current potential to give a nasty shock, cause huge sparks when connecting to a grounded device, and trip a GFCI breaker. I tested my other (genuine) adapters and the ~50v AC there collapses down to just 1-2v simply by touching them. That was NOT the case for this one.

I hate ads that pretend to be actual posts

It’s always a video that shows a character smashing through the post. Probably trying to bait people to click the comments or vote buttons so that the ad page opens up and it feels extremely tacky. Makes me feel LESS inclined to watch whatever movie they’re advertising. They did this with Send Help as well and that legitimately made me not want to go see it.
