We call this one Little Kevin (bottom right). He's becoming smaller than the rest so I might have to feed him separately which I feel bad about because he'll be alone. Flies walk right up to him and he doesn't eat them. He does eat to be clear. Just not the best hunter. Maybe he likes a challenge ๐
I know I have a lot of carving to do but right now I hate the look ๐ wanted to do tiered shelves but in realizing now I don't really know how I'll get a fan in there. Might have to secure it to the top... Will it look better once the plants and moss grow out? This has taken four evenings so far. I'm terrified I'll have to redo it ๐ญ
Two of the leaves have started turning brown and nasty. Should I pull them? Will they harm my frogs?
I have amino shrimp, neocaradina shrimp, bladder snails, swordtails, kili fish, and otos in this 2 year old 20 long tank. Most of the plants have this light layer of "dust" I'll call it, on them. What critters can I add to help reduce this? It comes off from just me sliding my finger down the leaves so it's not an algae or anything stuck on the leaves, just debris I guess.
Look at this luxurious hallway and front door haha. All of this is her third hammock which was made after she ate a cricket the same size as her. The other two are not nearly as spacious or easy for me to see so I'm loving this new one.

I'd love to get some advice from real humans who have kept multiple Apisto males together. This is not happening any time soon but I'm planning a 50 gallon tank set up for my home and I was thinking that I would love to add a second male Apisto to my set up when I do. I currently have a beautiful male Macmasteri. I've bred Macmasteri before and was very successful with zero deaths and minimal territorial disputes. If you are someone who has experience in this area I'd love to hear your feedback and about your experiences.
Once in a blue moon I will see her out and about on the top but otherwise she just sits in her webbing at the back of this bark chunk all day long. I mean I get it, I didn't exactly make hunting a chore for her but I'd love to see her more. Is there not enough going on up at the top to make her feel like she can? So I just have unrealistic expectations?
Edit: Even my pods are lounging out in the open in their enclosure! ๐๐ญ
He's such a little piggy and begs for food any time he sees me nearby. I tried to get a picture from above (see last pic) but the tank is covered in duckweed lol. I don't want to be over feeding him

This is Gertrude. She is white flour and water. I've had her for about a week, been feeding her, and she hasn't changed much. Is she getting too much air? Not enough?
This is a cutting that's been growing over a year now and has grown some lovely leaves but those arial roots are getting wild and it is getting top heavy, without the window against it this would fall over. Do I chop, repot bigger, or get a pole?
When do I harvest my Blue King Oyster mushrooms? This is my first time!
I was just messing around with the idea of an orange peel bowl and it got moldy because I didn't ventilate it properly so I thought I'd give it to the pods and they love it! Or maybe they just love the shrimp and repashy inside haha.
So I've gotten unlucky and ended up with what I think is going to be two male rainbow stag beetles and only one enclosure built which I was hoping would be for a pair or "sister wives". I'm not a fan of putting my bugs in a plastic shoe box (I forget about them that way) so I'd love to trade if anyone in the area is interested. One male is finishing his resting stage after pupation (pictured) and the second is finishing pupation still.
I'm interested in other trades as well, not just beetles, hmu with what you've got! I keep isopods, mantids, and spoods as well as fish. I've been trying to find a local Facebook group for such trades but with no luck so I hope this post is allowed ๐ค.
So I'm growing blue king oyster in my monotub, yes I know it's not ideal for oysters, I've done my research thanks.
Anyway, I finally got to the stage where I set up the automation parts: humidifier, hygrometer (mycontroller), and fan, and left it over night. The problem is when I came back in the morning the tub was 98%, I set the stop for 92. So I inspected it a bit and water is pooling on the edge of the lid. I look into it further and find the humidifier is on even though the red output light for the humidifier controller is off. Basically the humidifier is running by itself even though the thing it's plugged into isn't supposed to have power because it's past the stop cap. The humidifier is still going as we speak. Only physically turning it off makes it stop. I already tried unplugging it and replugging it back into the mycontroller. Is this thing really supposed to be running almost 24/7? I'm going to need a LOT more distilled water at this rate. It went through a half gallon last night.
I really wanted two females or a pair, not two males ๐ฉ
Update! It was in fact a patch of babies coming out that I spotted the other day! This is so exciting, yay! Blue King Oyster.
Google says tick eggs or mold. Not a fan of either option ๐ I already removed and froze it out of caution.
