Loose chapter ring?

Loose chapter ring?

This is my first mechanical watch. I recently noticed that the ring of minute markers is misaligned. It actually moves if I swing my arm. Is this called the chapter ring or dial ring? Orient USA wants me to send it to them for a repair quote. But I wonder how much it would cost and whether it's worth it? I bought the watch for ~$300USD. Alternatively, can/would a local watch repair/jeweler do the repair? TYSM

Backward facing 2nd row

In the U.S., this is not available, unlike everywhere else in the world. It was a feature that really got me excited 4 years ago. Alas, it was not meant to be. But I noticed the autonomous taxi service Zoox has a car that have passenger seats facing each other. How is this legal, and why couldn't it be for the Carnival? Is it because the Zoox has bi-directional driving, so both "ends" are technically the "front"?

When did Kia change the octane recommendation?

When i first got the 2024 Carnival, I can swear the manual said to use 87. So did all my online research. But I just noticed this paragraph in my maintenance description on my Kia app. And the same thing in the digital manual. I feel like I'm losing my mind, but did Kia change their recommendation about the gasoline?

Dishwasher rinse cycle leaves sods

800 series. SO feels there's residual detergent smell after the wash (auto cycle usually). So instead of adding the sanitize or extra shine option, we manually do a rinse cycle afterwards. I recently noticed that there is always sods left at the bottom of the DW, and there is evidence of sods on the spoons on the top rack. I checked that there is NO visible sods after the initial auto cycle. Is this normal? Or is it indicative of a problem with the machine or the operator? We use Finish pods in the dispenser, Auto cycle, delayed to run at 4am.

Besides the sods, is there any advice on how to rid of the possible detergent smell? Thanks.

World cup: full stadiums, empty hotels?

When I was booking hotels 3 months ago, I was shocked by the prices I was seeing. Some places had blackout dates for points. Some were charging 3x amount on random weekdays. Eventually I realized these were WC match dates in those NA cities. I have since rebooked one of my stays three times due to price drops. The doom and gloom of empty stadiums due to sky high ticket prices has not materialized--the stadiums are packed despite tickets going for thousands. What about the hotels? I see news report of below expectation occupancy and YOY decline in host cities. Is this true? Where are these crazy fans, who are shelling out thousands for tickets, staying at? Are the hotels still making more money due to the higher prices?Should I keep checking my reservations for any further drop in prices?

Adhesive over the antenna

I dislike cases. But the z fold 7 is really hard to unfold, with or without cases. I have settled on going naked with some adhesive phone grip strips on the sides. I think that's where the antennas are at. Is there any concern about reception if I have the strips over the boxed area? Should I leave a gap over the dividers? Thanks.

Edit: original post on the galaxy sub, image did not carry over. I refer to the bottom third of the phone where there are the lines/dividers in the frame of the phone.
