Planning to buy our first car – but worried

My family and I are in the process of buying our first car, and we’re currently considering the Tata Nexon EV Empowered+. We plan to make this purchase around March 2027.
Originally, our budget was about ₹15 lakh, but we’ve increased it to approximately ₹18 lakh because we really like the Nexon EV and the features offered in the Empowered+ variant.
My main concern at the moment is the road tax and registration fees for EVs in Telangana.
From what I gather, the current EV tax exemption/benefit in Telangana is set to expire on 31 December 2026. Since we intend to buy in March 2027, I’m anxious about what will happen if the government doesn’t extend this policy. If the exemption ends, the additional road tax and registration cost could push the Nexon EV completely out of our ₹18 lakh budget.
I'd really appreciate some advice from people who know more about the Telangana EV policy or have experience buying an EV here. How should I approach this situation, and should I be worried about the exemption ending before our planned purchase?
