Two separate feathers in Leeds, UK

Found both of these feathers on the floor at Helmsley Castle in Leeds, England. Found them in completely separate parts of the castle, but both outside portions.

The first one is 15cm tall and 3cm wide at the centre

The second one is 18cm tall, and 3 1/2 cm wide in the centre

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Lovely morning walk

Little Grebe family, a lil Treecreeper, and Little Egret pair hunting together. I also stood metres away from a kingfisher but sadly it decided to be camera shy and flew away haha!

Juvenile or just bad lighting?

Saw this lil bandit across the way near my garden, but I'm not sure if the lighting is bad or if it's a paler juvenile?

leucistic rock pigeon?

This was on my roof this morning, is it a leucistic rock pigeon / rock dove / feral pigeon, idk the official name for the species haha.

I know they can be a bit white, and sometimes other colours like super dark grey, rusty red and stuff. But I've never seen a pure white one like this.

Camera Tips

Hello! I've currently got a Canon E0S R50, got it as kinda a beginner friendly camera. I've had it for about a year now, so was looking to upgrade the lens. So I've ordered a "Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 is USM Mirrorless Tele Photo Zoom Lens" though I'm not gonna lie, idk what half of that means.

I basically just want it so I can take pictures of birds, nothing else. I don't want like national geographic level photos either. Just ones I can look at. Tell what the bird is and not shudder at how blurry it is haha.

Are there any settings I should use for it? Or any tips for using a lens like that? I've literally never used one so all advice is welcome!!!

I've attached some of the photos I've taken with my current lens so you can kinda see what my current photos look like :)

Shoveler Pair, Lapwing, Baby Crested Grebe & Common Tern

Visit to St Aidans RSPB today gave me some photos of birds I hadn't managed to photograph before! The baby grebe especially was a delight to watch!

Tufted Duck or Scaup?

I thought Tufted when I first saw them, but idk I've never seen a Tuftie with a green shine like that. There was 3 of them. This is in Leeds

Who's this cool looking thing

I'd guess a moth of some description? But I've never seen this one before. Was in Leeds, England

Ember Tetra Help

Ember Tetra help:

I've put the water issues tag, but I don't even know if that is for sure the problem

So I don't know what to do. I have a 22L planted tank, it has a roof, heater and inside filter. For a few months I kept getting blue algae infestations that basically killed my plants and was all in the substrate and wouldn't go away no matter what I did.

So yesterday, I did a full redo. I emptied half of the water into a bucket, put the fish in the bucket, put a tea towel over it. Then took out the rest of the water and 95% of the old gravel (black gravel)

Then I added new black gravel in, added 6 new plants and the log back in, then put the fish back in. All of the water I added in had tapsafe in it, and I only added about as much as a regular water change, the rest was their old water. However after a few hours they all began swimming up to the surface and looking up into it.

So i tested for ammonia, chlorine and nitrite/nitrate and it was all normal. Hardness, carbonate and ph was normal too.

So I did a small 10% water change which didn't seem to do much.

The next morning when I woke up they were still doing it. I tried to feed them and they did nothing.

A couple hours later I did a test and the Nitrate was at 100, while the nitrite was at 5. (Chlorine and Ammonia still at 0)

So I did a 50% water change with temp matched water and tapsafe in it.

That seemed to work for 30m. One fish kept being at the top but the rest remained at the bottom in the open space and among the plants. However after 30m 3 began to do it, then 4 and now all 8 are doing it again.

When I go near the tank they scatter a bit at first but then all go straight back to doing it

I tested 30m after the water change and the results came back as shown in the picture. I've also taken a video of the fish doing it now and a picture of one from last night (it won't let me upload the videos and pictures together, so I've uploaded them all on the same video) Any help appreciated I really don't know what to do at this point nothing like this ever happened and I've had them for 7 months now.

Scotland Feathers

They're all around 1cm wide in the centre
The tallest is 8.5cm tall, and the smallest 7cm tall

Found these both in Scotland, by the Bow Fiddle Rock in Buckie, there was what I think was a full wing potentially with a foot on it along with scattered feathers, but I didn't look too closely cause I'm a bit squeamish haha
