Why SCHD going so crazy right now?
I am confused why all of a sudden SCHD including DGRO acting like a growth stock. Did I miss something big?

Hi all! I have been meaning to make this post for quite sometime and finally got the courage to do so.
Currently, I am using an online course (freecodeacademy and boot.dev), self projects, and pursuing associates degree to make a career change to software engineering. My background has been mainly in IT professional services for the last 10 or so years with only high school degree. Most of my experience are in Shell scripting languages and python for automation.
Considering the current landscape (especially with AI), how can I ensure I set myself for success to be an engineer in about 3-5 years?
Context: Software engineer is carrer I wanted but life circumstances landed in my IT based roles. I have been doing self learning and project for last 1yr and a half.
I recently applied for the Hilton Surpass for the 130k points and literally same day I found out I needed to take a work trip soon with layovers (depart 2hr+ layover and return 3hr+ at midnight). Today, I cut my losses completed application to accept card and they gave me the welcome offer.
American Express! Thank you!!
Edit for Context:
My online application gave me PUJ but processing failed after accepting terms. I called Amex to finish application and got same PUJ language from phone rep. Once he processed, I got welcome offer with expediated delivery for card.

Schwab finally enabled fractional share buying on my account and now can start migrating brokerage to Schwab.
I am in a position now where I could freeze my credit at TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax for a few years. This will be my first time doing this and not sure of all the pros & cons.
I greatly appreciate anyone that can share some wisdom on this 🙏
