Hi, I recently noticed a small amount of water leaking into my basement near the door area and I’m looking for advice on the best way to fix it.
I think this may have been an issue before we moved in. It looks like the previous owners raised the height of the doorway with concrete, but I don’t think it was sealed properly afterward. There are some cracks where the newer concrete was poured against the old concrete, and my plan is to fill those cracks with hydraulic cement.
This area normally does not get a lot of water, and the existing drains already seem to handle about 99% of the water properly, so the leak is fairly minor.
After that, I’m planning to dig out about 1 foot to the left and right of the door, and down below the problem area. Then I’d install a perforated drain pipe surrounded by gravel, and connect that pipe to the existing concrete drain(steel circle with holes in image) that carries water away from the house.
Does this sound like a good approach, or would you recommend something different? Any tips or things I should watch out for would you do anything differently?

When I went to adjust the valves after 15 hrs on my crf 250x 2005 intake was .13 .08
And exhaust was .38 .45 spec calls for .12 and .28 why would the intake get tighter and the exhaust get so much looser
What could this be? I hear a clicking noise that matches the rotation of the rear wheel, and I think it’s only on one side. It happens mostly in reverse, but I can also hear it a little when turning slowly. About one wheel rotation equals one click. If I turn off the machine and push it or roll it and turn no noise it’s only got 2000km and I babied the fuck out of it.
Just curious what temperatures, modes and daily power usage other people are getting with their heat pump water heaters, and what settings seem to work best for efficiency without running out of hot water.
My setup:
50 gallon tank
Heat pump mode only
Set to 130°F
6 people in the house
Basement temperature around 18°C
Even though the tank is a bit undersized for 6 people, it was free, so I can’t complain too much. With these settings I average around 6–8 kWh per day.
Not sure what these are for on cerf 250x 2005
Tryna add a fan to the rad, bike is not running yet so can’t check which has power
