Is Blackbird Fest going to be yearly?
I'm probably not as in-touch as many here, but I'm curious if the plan is to have the festival be a yearly thing.

I've been working on an campaign that should be 15 or so sessions for a group of 4-8 people. The unique part is that the DM can rotate each session. This gives players who normally don't DM a chance to wet their feet being a DM without needing to manage a whole campaign (or even a typical one-shot) on their own.
I still have some details I'm working on, but I hope to have a "beta" version of it ready to play in a month or two. I actually want to treat this like software and do some beta testing before I "release" it.
One of the issues is that I really can't run the campaign on my own (or even play in it) because the mystery and unknown is one of the important aspects of the whole adventure! I thought I'd see if there are any groups that might be interested in play testing for me!
I'm thinking this is probably a low-level adventure 1-3rd level.
I've been working on this for a while now. Typically I'll set up a canopy for the kitchen/dining area, but I have no real cover for entry/exit in poor weather.
I did add the overhang over the door which mitigates the worst issues (opening the door when it's raining), but we still get in with our wet shoes and it creates a mess (which we also mitgate).
It would be nice to have a pull out awning (even if it was just over the door).
I know WTS gets a lot of hate, but I feel like AB8 is a worse album. A few decent tracks, but I'm just not digging it, bottom of the list for me.
Two weeks ago I moved 8 tons of gravel about 1000 feet from my driveway to my backyard with my Sambar. We all know that the truck is only rated for about 750 lbs of cargo, but I was between 1100 - 1200 lbs per trip. This was low speed so handling and braking weren't a significant issue. I had zero issues, and the truck even climbed loose gravel that was at quite a slope like a champ. I used the extra low gear on the Sambar.
I need to move 120 bags of 60lb concrete to the same location in the next week (6 trips with 20 bags each).
It started me thinking about static vs. dynamic loads. Obviously the issue isn't putting 1200 lbs in your truck at rest, it's going down a bumpy road at 40 MPH, and trying to turn. That 1200 lbs easily turn into 2000 lbs of dynamic load over some bumps.
I have a garden cart with wheels that are rated at 300 lbs each and I've carted 780 lbs of concrete bags with them (it's a struggle to pull the cart, but I was able to do it). Obviously there's very little dynamic load on the cart when I'm pulling it by hand at 1 MPH. It's a bit insane to me that a garden cart can carry as much as my Sambar is rated to carry.
The bottom line is, I wonder what the point of failure is for carrying heavy loads with a Kei truck is if you aren't going on public roads. At this point I feel comfortable with 1200 lbs, but I wonder what the max is realistically.
