AITA For telling a Dad that I almost hit his daughter with my car because she was heading towards oncoming traffic on an electric scooter.
Okay, here we go... so, I'm an Uber Driver. I get a ride for a passenger to a nice neighborhood in my town. Seems good. I enter the neighborhood and as I am rounding the corner, a young girl is in the same lane rounding the corner coming at me. I hammer on my breaks coming to a halt. The girl swerves around me. She was probably a few feet from my car. I'm partially in shock. I turn around to look at this kid. She drove off like it was nothing. I'm actually upset. No joke, a car hit my car while we were sitting at the light the day before. At this point, I'm contemplating whether or not to go talk to thing young lady to tell her to be more careful. Unfortunately, the person I need to pick up is about 30 seconds away. I let it go and drove to the pickup. The pickup is a stop (meaning there-back). I begin talking to my passenger. I told them I almost hit someone just now. As we talked, turns out, that kid, and their sibling are a problem in that neighborhood. The passenger also said that family and they are not cordial. They absolutely do not like my passenger. No idea why, and frankly, I don't care. I'm just worried about the kiddo. So, I said to this person that I would go let a parent know what happened involving the electric scooter. They told me what house they're from. So, I dropped them off, drove to the house, and knocked on the door. The other sibling opened the door. I said hello and asked if there was a parent home. They said no. I said could you call a parent? They called their parent and told me if I want I can wait and their Dad would be home in 10 minutes. I actually had time to spare, and this issue genuinely mattered to me, so I waited. I waited around 10-15 minutes. The Dad arrives. He is pissed. We begin talking. I said my name and that I'm an Uber Driver. I let him know that I almost hit his daughter. He then questions me. How do you know that's my daughter? How did you know she lives here? I said I couldn't tell him that. He then says I'm calling the cops and takes a picture of my license plate. I'm thinking to myself buddy, this is how you're reacting the moment I begin talking to you? I was pretty well dressed (Yes I dress nice when I uber polo dress shorts.) He then begins to absolutely rant and rave. Saying theirs a stocker in his neiborhood. Tells me his daughter was almost r*ped by his friend last year. Blah, blah blah, blah bLaH. I then showed him that I really was an Uber Driver, and the order was for the neiborhood. He kept pressing me about how I knew where to find his house. So I said I'm an Uber Driver, I picked up a passenger, are you putting it all together? Later on he deleted my plate number from his phone and he showed me. He also told me there are cameras in x places. I said the info I got was an anonymous tip and that I was doing this as a courtesy. He then said that his daughter is 15, she's looking to get her driver's license soon yet she's driving on the left side of the road. I'll talk to her. That it's
