I'm running a hybrid (STR/INT/LUK) but I want to boost my spell efficiency; i have a few spellcasting armors, various of the pets, etc. looking for some miscs and staffs to kinda blow it over the top and maximize damage. Im honestly just lost on that side of the game right now outside of your typical spell spamming.

The Mage class only has two built-in spells with no toggle nodes so im confused on what exactly its for. Im completely confused on how to use the Necromancer class, I dont know what each node does and the descriptions are kinda vague in terms of how I should use them effectively.

“14 hours” he responded plainly, making the blondes eyes widen.

“I-Is he ok!?! Should I go get him?” He said in a panic, however Fukasaku only grinned in response. He could sense him clearly, at the oceans floor….a staggering 30,000 meters deep; a depth which even light couldn’t penetrate, where oxygen would all but cease to exist, and where every cubic inch exerted enough pressure to crush mountains instantly…..

However for Rock Lee, it was merely a Tuesday.

Naruto's answer came as a geyser of millions of gallons of water shot into the sky, threatening a monsoon with enough force to shatter a continent. From below an unmistakable triumphant howl echoed from the surface of the planet to the peaks of the mountaintops, a prideful call to the heavens to bear witness to a his hard work.

He smiled, reflected on every moment it took to get to this point; his constant failures, the sour taste of defeat, the fear of never being able to reach these hieghts......yet he smiled. Savoring in it all as the turbulence of the ocean tried to tear him asunder; but just as those obstacles, they would prove to be no match for the fearsome Rock Lee.....

A seismic shift occured, all bended to his will as he formed a fist once more. It was irrefutable.... inarguable..... all but certain. He had arrived.

"ROAR MY YOUTH!!!"

Because I don’t know if I was just raised different or we got different definitions of what’s considered ducking but I think it’s gotten out of hand after so I’ll present some examples and tell me if I’m wrong.

Ducking:

Boots offering Devin Haney a 152 catchweight when he was already moving up to 147 to fight him, a division boots JUST won another belt in.

Canelo Vacating a title to avoid a fight with Andrade, or just blatantly not fighting his Mandatory

Teofimo refusing to unify with Haney at 135 and not fighting him again at 140.

Bivol showing no effort to make either the Beterbiev rematch or Benavidez fight.

Shakur asking for a catchweight, getting said catchweight, then backing out.

This came up during a discussion about the Keyshawn situation, IMO I don’t think backing out was a bad move, 2m for that fight is a lowball. I do think he was just stupid not taking the 3m Bill was talking though but atleast he actually wants to fight.

Similar with the Bam situation, I don’t think it’s any ducking going on I think it’s just conflicting opinions within his team that’s preventing this from being made.

Bottom line is, if the money and legacy is there, it makes sense, and you not busy; you duckin.

The Otsutsuki duo of Kinshiki and Momoshiki laughed in the face of their sole challenger; the two couldn’t get over the audacity that this mortal had displayed before them.

Behind awaited an army numbered in the thousands, All full blooded Otsutsuki drooling at the opportunity to feast on the population and rend earth asunder. With Naruto and Sasuke dealing with even more pressing matters elsewhere and his own teammate facing an even more daunting task; Konoha’s shield stood alone.

“I don’t know what’s funnier, the way this hornless colored cretin looks, or the gall to stand in-front of us!” The shorter statured one said weightlessly spinning midair, unable to control his laughter.

“I bet he smells too!”

This time the others joined in laughter until a rather goofy fellow came to the front with what looked like a red glowing fishing pole. A childish grin swept across his face as he locked eyes with the Konoha Shinobi, searching for the slightest chink in his armor…yet even with his Byakugan he found none.

Hyuga Neji was flawless.

Far above that fool Toneri they had passed by on their way here…this was a warrior in its purest form.

“Urashiki, you may have the honors of disposing of this indignant buffoon” Momoshiki said with a casual wave over his shoulder, he had his amusement for the day and needed to brief his soldiers “My warriors enjoy a challenge, not the musings of a jester“

He was interrupted, this time his petty insults cut short by a solid thump to the back of his head….something hard he guessed; To his left laid a lifeless corpse split cleanly up the middle from the neck down, with its head casually rolling along the ground before coming to a halt, painting a trail on the desert floor.

que Made in Abyss (OST) - The first layer

“Honorable and magnificent Lady Kaguya!” The voice of a child cried out bowing his head in a patch of grass amongst the field of flawless white lily’s, it was a serene sight to behold… The last sight for many who sought out the treasures of the Goddess' sacred land. Only a handful had ever gotten this far… and only 4 had lived to tell the tale.

The ghostly white deity turned her attention to the group of three, all no older than 10; however she could tell from their appearance alone they had sacrificed a great deal to meet her. Their clothes tattered and worn, hands and exposed skin covered in dirt, equipment damaged and all but unable to fulfill their intended purpose; but the most telltale sign was their eyes.

The eyes of those who had been in long search of something… it seemed eerily familiar.

“Since I could walk I was told of the great rabbit goddess who would grant the wish of those who would undertake the great journey to meet you!” The young boy said, pulling her from her thoughts with a voice filled with the utmost respect and conviction towards a being he could not even begin to comprehend.

“What stories have you been told child?” Her soft voice inquired, her flawless face was otherwise expressionless but they could definitely tell they had piqued her interest.

“T-the stories of the great mother who wished to plant a tree of life but stopped by the 4 great warriors and 9 ferocious beasts! With her dying breath she defeated them and raised the god tree!” the youngest of the group piped up. It was a young girl with blue eyes matching the boy infront.

“The tree we are at the base of right now in fact. Many are skeptical however the stories tell us she was going to use it to make all the worlds dreams come true!” She finished informatively as she adjusted her small reading glasses with a quirky smile.

“Ah yes…the god tree, is that why you’ve sought me out? To finally charter the world back into the infinite dream?”

“No M’lady!” The leader of the group said, his face still in the ground before her, his form all but shaking as he found the courage to ask the woman of the prophecies. They had endured a many harsh roads, for this exact moment... ignoring the warnings of those they had passed on their journey, determined to take fate into their own hands and accomplish what none had before.

“I have but one request! Our grandmother is sick and wont wake up, not even the greatest doctors and sages in the world know what's going on...a-and...we just can't let her-"

"Is this your wish?" She asked plainly, the blank stare of the Byakugan made it difficult to assess what she was thinking; however he simply nodded, swallowing the lump in his throat and responded.

"Hai! P-please M'lady, you are our last hope!"

She levitated towards them; though her calm and docile demeanor showed them no malice, her mere image effected their perception of time. They instinctively froze, so frightened they were unable to breathe.

“Such a task requires a sacrifice” she said with a wave of her hand….before they could realize what was going on the boys had been encased in a coffin of thick vines restricting their movements “you will do just fine young ones”

“Inari!! Sota!!” The little girl yelled frantically attempting to free her brothers, but the goddess just turned her gaze to her all but petrifying her.

“Will you join them?” Kaguya asked…reaching out a hand to caress the child’s cheek with her newly revealed claws; jumping at her touch, her life all but flashed before her…she instinctively thought back to her grandmother, how she had failed on her promise to find the truths this world had hidden, and most importantly the promise she had made to save her.

“Haori, do you remember the names of the four great warriors?”

She heard her grandmothers voice….it was as if she were standing right before her. The image of her now frosted white pigtails bobbing as she mixed a pot of her favorite stew.

“It’s fine if you don’t, however you must always remember their tools! It’s said if you call out to them in a time of need the warrior will come to aid you!”

She said turning to her with a warm smile; she had always told such vivid stories of the great warriors….as if speaking on a passing memory. Unlike the rest of the world who viewed the warriors as the plague of the land, she insisted they were fallen hero’s; ones that would be the key to solving the world’s many mysteries.

“How will they know I need them Granma Moegi! If it was that easy wouldn’t they have shown up already?” She responded looking up from her book with a sigh.

“As I said child…they will respond only in a time of need, by those with a righteous heart” she said with a reminiscent smile as she reached to Pat her head.
“now tell me, what is the weapon of the wisest of the warriors?”

“The spear of the thunder god, used to cut lightning…” she read aloud before looking away as to not cheat “I think it’s called-“

“RAIKIRI!!!” She screamed at the top of her lungs snapping back to reality; Kaguya’s face instinctively twisted with anger. She looked as if she was all but ready to turn the little girl to dust before a flash of light blinded her and she realized she was now being carried a safe distance away….with the rabbit goddess bellowing in rage.

“You called me child?”

She looked up in sheer awe; stunning silver hair, a trademark scar over his left eye, two scarlet windmill pupils, and one of the most handsome mugs she had ever seen….her grandmother hadn’t been exaggerating.

“…..L-lightning blade Kakashi!!!” She squealed, hugging him as he placed her down gently; he simply chuckled before he pulled his mask up.

“There has only been a select few to ever see my face…try to keep it a secret” he said, turning to to the immediate threat. With a look of confusion he eyed his surroundings as if he was searching for someone.

“Where are my students?”

She tilted her head in confusion before remembering the tales….Hatake Kakashi had been the sensei of the other three from what she knew.

“Grandma Moegi had told me their weapons are scattered about in the other worlds; I called upon you because I noticed your sigil scattered in the field” she answered, this time it was his turn to be confused.

“Kazamatsuri? Grandmother?” He said remembering one of the brats Ebisu was in charge of….realization had struck; time had passed, and all he had held dear was lost. History to be rewritten by the victor.

His world would once again begin to turn upside down in real time…threatening to plunge into the abyss of loneliness once again; however because he was Kakashi, it was a mere afterthought as he formulated his next plan of action.

“Y-you know grandma!?”

“I’m not strong enough to stop her on my lonesome” he responded truthfully…they had lost as a team last time; solo he stood no chance. “I’ll grab the others, and then, you will show me what has become of this world”

The good:

Before I begin I just want to say I think it was a good win, however I don’t think it was a P4P win, and certainly not a great win like people are making it out to be. I think he went in there and did what he was supposed to do against a younger and less experienced fighter. It was a good fight with some suspense sprinkled in that made it very entertaining; in all honesty if it wasn’t for the Dubois victory earlier this year I’d say it’s a candidate for FoTY off of sheer entertainment alone. The combinations and handspeed were on full display, showed some grit to keep firing while hurt, and ultimately just completely dominated in a fight I think went a bit too long(though I can see why it wasn’t stopped, less than a minute in a championship bout should give you some breathing room to turn things around)

The bad:

As always boots passes the eye test soundly, however IMO it’s still a number of questions that this fight just didn’t answer. What happens when he finds himself in deep waters with a more experienced fighter? What about when he runs into someone who’s more than capable of firing back with him? What about bigger punchers? Movers? Someone who can push back?

To me I think that’s more than fair to question; if his peers had fought a similar opponent and been nothing short of perfect would they get anywhere near the same amount of leeway?

People STILL claim Benavidez is a hype job when he’s been literally doing nothing but putting himself in position to cement his legacy. People will tell you with a straight face Shakur hasn’t fought anyone and make excuses for why he embarrassed Teo, don’t even get me started on the narratives and double standards around Haney.

I just don’t think this win is anything more than what we would expect at this point, we need to see Boots in there with ELITE opposition before we begin these P4P talks.

Verdict

IMO I’ll give it a 7/10, Zayas wasn’t elite but he wasn’t just a guy either and you can tell he has a promising future if he learns from this. Boots performed well and was clearly in the driver seat 90% of the fight but I just don’t see this as a statement win everyone else does unless they think he’s nearing his ceiling. All-in-all I’m still a bit skeptical, nothing really changed my opinion on Boots I just think at this point if he really was what everyone said it would be no doubt by now.

Please, Please, PLEASE. Leave your toxicity at the door, it’s ALOT of people who quite simply haven’t been around for the newer raids and/or have been slow getting into Pantheon (myself included). PLEASE have some form of communication, preferably a mic.

The game is in its twilight, it shouldn’t be a big deal if someone doesn’t know what to do. For all new and returning players a simple ‘hey bro, I don’t know what to do could you explain this to me?’ Before the encounter starts gives everyone a heads up on where you may need help in a certain area and we can adjust accordingly. However don’t just try to wing it and have everyone looking confused for a few runs then say something.

If you don’t know what to do a Mic is damn near a requirement at this point, however some people won’t mind text chat as long as you can communicate effectively. I can’t speak for everyone but as a yapper I can help cure social anxiety, IMO nobody should feel uncomfortable; we’re just gaming.

Also if you feel some people don’t know what to do or are confused, a light tap in the right direction ‘hey go grab that’, ‘stand here and watch for this’, ‘let me know when this happens’ solves most of your problems.

Now conversely, this whole bitching and moaning about 1 phases, an encounter taking a few minutes longer than expected, min/max non-grass touchers, etc. like if you want to play that way that’s fine but take it somewhere with people who want to play that way as well. Dont join a LFG and expect everyone to be on the same page.

And Ian gone lie, it might not work but if I see you being toxic I’m reporting you and dipping in the middle of the encounter on purpose.
