I'm a beginner guitarist-singer, but I have a lot of history with music. I'm trying to get my foot in the door and figure out how to start a local band. I'll admit, I don't exactly have the funding or transportation to go far so I'm trying to work with what I got. I really like post-hardcore, alt, and pop-punk as I'm a big fan of green day/avril. However, I'm also a fan of many other styles too (as long as I can mosh at least a little heh). I've tried to improve my guitar/singing by doing online, but I just felt like it wasn't for me. I've always dreamed of playing in a band ever since I was a kid. With that said, If you're around 19-23 and are from Austin, please let me know! I know music can be tough to get into, but I believe that with enough dedication we can make something happen. Just lose all hope just yet!

I’m still figuring out the genre, but I'm thinking about something related to post-hardcore, 2000s mainstream emo, nu-metal, or pop-punk. I'm a huge fan of music that is emotionally expression and easy to groove to. I do have a large amount of appreciation for EDM but to keep things simple I'd like to start with mainly rock first. Let me quote, you do not need experience at all.

Due to my situation, I can't leave the house as much as I reallyy wanna so I'm kinda stuck with doing stuff online for a little while. I'm a bit of a beginner at guitar and keyboard, but I'm much better with producing and singing. However, I really wanna work on that and I was hoping that I could find some like-minded people that are willing to try even if the odds are against us. I'm a baritenor with a lighter voice if anyone was curious.

I've never started a band before as I'm still solidifying the genre. However, I would love to work on something within the pop-punk, post-hardcore, 2000s emo/punk, nu-metal, or the screamo genre as I favor emotional expression. I grew up as a skrillex kid in the 2010s, so I have a great appreciation for EDM too. I may not be a pro at a specific instrument but I'm a lifelong musician that wants to get back into the groove of things. Due to my experience, I'm hoping that I can find an opportunity to play and expand my knowledge. I have an acoustic, keyboard, and an electric guitar, but I haven't played them in a long while. With that said, I'm walking into this blind as I have little to no expectations since I am aware of how it feels to start out.
