Got an Olympus XA2 for 75€, now I'm regretting getting it. Did I overpay?

I was randomly browsing eBay when I stumbled across this mint XA2. The seller wanted 130, but I managed to get it for 80€.

The camera is is beautiful condition, but now I'm starting to think that I bought out of impulse and overpaid for it. Do you think 80€ is too much for what is worth?

Lots of used Fujifilm Quicksnap. Any creative uses?

I found in the trash around 10 empty Fujifilm Quicksnap camera bodies and I would like to do something creative with them. It seems that reloading the Quicksnap is more difficult compared to Kodak disposable ones, but for sure will try to do it. Does anyone has any suggestion? Some people use the lens on mirrorless camera, "sadly" I have only slr.

28-70mm: Minolta 3.5-4.8 or Maginon Serie G 3.5-4.5

I wanted to get a zoo lens for my minolta x300, and i've found two very cheap advertisement for a Minilta 28-70 3.5-4.8 Minolta MD Zoom and a 28-70 Maginon Serie G 3.5-4.5. They would both go for under 20 dollars. What is the better of the two? As far as i know, the Minolta one would not be a rokkor but a rebranded sigma or tamron.

Yashica T4, lens does not retract after firing.

My Yashica T4 last week suddenly decided to die. It powers on and off Just fine, however when I shoot the lens extends as normal but does not retract, but I have to push it back. After power cycling does the same thing.

Is this a common problem? Do you know how expensive it would be to fix it?

Old roll of Kodak Ektachrome, how to develop DIY?

I bought an old camera at a flea market for 10€ with a roll of Kodak Elite 100 Ektachrome inside. I'm sure it has already been exposed since the leader is inside the canister, and I'm fairly certain it's quite expired because there is some rust here and there. However, I'm curious to see what's on the film, so I want to develop it as cheaply as possible. I was thinking of using Caffenol to develop it as black and white. Do you have any suggestions or tips? PS: Are there any in-house alternatives for fixing as well?

Minolta x9 hang fires after capacitor replacement

My Minolta X-9 failed some time ago, so I bought some replacement capacitors (220 µF, 10 V) from Amazon. After replacing the old capacitor with the new one, the camera started working again, but sometimes it doesn’t fire immediately and hangs for a few seconds. Also, in Bulb mode, the shutter automatically releases after a couple of seconds. And at the 1-second shutter speed, it seems to me that the camera fires faster than it should. Does anyone know what could be causing this issue?

Update #1:

I think the problem are the new capacitor. With the old one the camera would not shoot, however the timer would still count everytime I would press the shutter, as expected. This does not happen however with the new one!

Would you use flasks used for E coli in sf9 protein expression?

I need to express a protein from 2 L of Sf9 cells, but we have suddenly run out of the usual disposable plastic flasks.

Do you think I would run into contamination issues if I used the glass flasks normally used for E. coli? I would autoclave them twice before use, and I would use them only for the final 72-hour infection step. I usually add 0.1% penicillin/streptomycin to my medium.
