Mr. Tumnus the coolest cat

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to share with you all about my cat Mr. Tumnus, who I lost this week to cancer. He was the coolest cat I've ever had, and the interesting story is I didn't go pick him out; he found me. The name was picked by my sister in law and is from Narnia.

Shortly after moving into my new home, I noticed this cool cat roaming around the neighborhood. I thought for sure he had to belong to someone. This was probably around 6 or so years ago. Anyways, he was super friendly and visited everyone but he had no collar. I wanted to let him in the house but he was spraying everywhere marking his territory.

One day, my camera caught a mama cat carrying something in her mouth into my backyard, and following her was the same cool cat. Long story short, they both brought the whole litter of kittens into my yard, and my wife and I ended up making sure they had food and essentials.

Once the kittens were old enough, I looked into TNR and ended up renting traps and got the whole family fixed. None of them were chipped and appeared to be strays. I ended up keeping two of the kittens and let the mom and dad be back outside.

After that, Mr. Tumnus and Mama seemed to want to hang out around my yard most of the time, and my sweet Tummy boy seemed to have stopped spraying. So I ended up making them my cats, put collars on them, and took them down to the vet for checkups and whatever shots they needed.

Unfortunately Mr. Tumnus initial vet visit came back as him having FIV so I chose to make him an inside cat and hope for the best. He immediately loved it but he wanted to still have outside time so I ended up trying to make compromises by turning my garage into a cat village and putting some cat houses in my backyard.

He loved his life and loved spending time with Mama in the backyard. I tried to bring the Mama cat in but she hated it so she remained an outside cat and still lives in my yard to this day.

Mr. Tumnus was loved very much. He had all the best food a cat could ask for, plenty of toys, cat trees, and even some outside time a few days a week.

Unfortunately his FIV started giving him trouble after a year or two. He had bad dental issues and some kind of auto immune issue with his own antibodies attacking his gums. He had several dental treatments and I did everything to give him the best quality of life.

He also always slept with me at night and loved to cuddle up and sleep right at my side. He was like a fluffy teddy bear sleeping with me.

Last month I noticed he was starting to lose weight and I could feel his spine more. He wasn't showing his usual signs of dental issues so I started paying close attention and it did seem like he wasn't eating as much as usual so I scheduled a vet appointment.

The vet did find that some more teeth were bad again and we scheduled for him to get more dental work. His blood work showed that he might also be fighting an infection so we put him on antibiotics. Unfortunately a few days before his scheduled appointment, he suddenly got way worse. I knew something had to be more wrong so I took him down again for a same day emergency visit. This time the blood work was a night and day difference. Red cells were suddenly low and white cells doubled from the visit just two weeks prior.

It's scary when I think about it, how fast things progressed. Anyways, the vet did an ultrasound and found a large mass. Everything together was basically showing a fast rapidly progressing cancer and so I made the decision to let him rest and go to Heaven.

I don't know how old he actually was but my guess is somewhere between 7 and 10 human years. He had to at least already be a year old by the time he found me.

It's still hard without him. I miss him every day. I try to tell myself I did the right thing. I could have had them attempt surgeries and chemo but with having FIV and already being so weak, I thought I better just let him go.

I know he loved his life and loved me, and I loved him like my own child.

Until we meet again my friend.

AW3426DW not factory calibrated like the AW3423DW?

Anyone else have the new AW3426DW? I've been using the AW3423DW sine it first came out but I also use it for work, and so I upgraded to the new AW3426DW. I swear that Diablo 4 and other HDR gaming content does not look as good as the old monitor. To me, it all looks slightly washed out.

I've already tried all of the different HDR modes and I'm not seeing anything I can change in the monitor panel itself to make it look more like the old monitor. I already tried the Windows HDR calibration too.

I have an AMD video card and the only thing I've found so far is the "Custom Color" profile that you can set. Changing the brightness to -9 and then increasing contrast to 120 is producing to my eyes a much better HDR picture. The washed-out look is gone, and everything looks punchier while still maintaining all of the details.

Thoughts?

SSF S14 Rank 1 Dread Claws (Rank 68 Overall)

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share my Dread Claws build from this season.

Build Guide: https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/70rvsg0t

T12 Mephisto (Re-uploaded in SDR, should look better now): https://youtu.be/SrGiAUr6Qik

Looking through pages of Tower rankings, I didn't see anyone playing a version of Dread Claws like this, or a single Dread Claws at all actually (at least not in top 100). Overall, I had a lot of fun putting this build together. I was hoping it would have been a sleeper build that could top the leaderboards but unfortunately Abyss still falls short.

My clear was a 129, and possibly I could have got a 130 with the right map but I didn't try too hard. I'm still missing a few Mythic versions of my gear, and most of my mythics do not even have a GA. With better gear this could make it up to a 134 but I don't see it going higher than that. Certainly not going to catch the Rank 1 APOC at 144.

Some of the stats are flexible depending on what Mythic Seal you have. If you do not have crit chance on the seal, you have to make up for in on one of the rings. This is what I ended up doing with my own gear and I do not match the planner perfectly.

This does take advantage of the Nameless trick. You simply cast a sigil skill once and then change it to Dark Prison after. Normally I'd only do this for the Tower but it's so easy and I never die, so I ended up playing this way all of the time. I hope the devs just leave this as it really helps the build. Otherwise, you have to use PRID rune and have the sigil on your bar. I find having the actual prison on the bar makes fortify so much more reliable.

This version is also a bit of a shotgun approach. Dynamism works very well as it's pretty easy to keep near full dominance thanks to the gloves. Unlike last season, you do not spam your profane sentinel as this would drain your dominance. Instead, you only cast it one every 15-20 seconds to keep the Dominion paragon node active. When Metamorphosis is down, your damage is significantly gimped but that's only for 10 seconds. Once Metamorphosis is up again, the damage is insane. I also have another paragon variation in the build for overmind instead. This is less damage overall but the variance between in and out of metamorphosis is less.

Overall, it's still a great build, and I think this shows that using the Horazon set isn't the only set that you can use with Dread Claws. I feel like Harash's Shadow and Night Terror are meant for Dread Claws. I had already played the Horazon version last season, and all of the build guides seem to have kept things mostly the same with the only change being to use mythic Fists of Fate.

Hand of Apotheosis allows you to use Tibaults and also Crown of Lucion. You do not need to use Starless. The Wrath glyph is very underrated. The wrath you gain from the sentinel, rampage, and all of the claws is able to sustain your wrath in the 5 seconds that you are not unstoppable. Yes, the gloves are a damage loss compared to a 65%x legendary or fists of fate until you have over 120K life (I only got up to 115k) but when you take into account the other gear it allows you to use, it's the better setup.

The only downside is you cannot use Que rune as Bulwark breaks stealth. I didn't have any survivability issues without it though due to the high health pool. All T12 content melts including T12 Mephisto. I've never killed him so easily. If this ever changes and Que doesn't break stealth, you'd practically be immortal.

Mythic drop rates gutted in Season 14

Go watch Wudijo’s latest video. Several undocumented changes this season including mythic drop rates being gutted.

Are the devs trying to get everyone to quit the season early? This is literally a season made all around mythics 3.0 where the chase is to find the mythic version of all of our uniques, and they decide to make it impossible to find any?

What was their vision for the season, we craft 1 unique and maybe by the end of the season we also find 1 more that fits our build?

How is that fun? The devs said that mythics are now common and no longer rare. Everyone finds multiple copies of every mythic, so they lowered the power of all icon mythics and made the new mythics only a 30% increase over the unique version. This makes sense due to how easily we get mythics.

Then they contradicted themselves and made mythics super rare now. What??? Bring back Perdition and restore DR on Shako then, buff the new mythics to all 100%. If mythics are now rare, then they need to be powerful.

Either rare and powerful, or common and a slight increase. Make up your mind devs, especially for a season all about mythics…

IMO buff the drop rates back to what they were and restore the mythic tribute drop rates too. Then next season figure out what you want.

This is ridiculous!

Woohoo got Tier 129 down as Dread Claws!

It was down to the last second. I stupidly chased a goblin and wasted time. Boss spawned exactly at 1 minute I thought no way it would be possible. I think that's it for Tower for me this season. Could probably go up 1 more tier if I leveled the glyphs higher. No gem strength all SSF gear. I'm hoping the Devs wake up next season I really like this class.
