We’re building a boxing management game where every fighter eventually becomes part of your academy’s history

Me and my friend are developing Boxing Dynasty Online, a free boxing management game inspired by the depth and long-term storytelling of sports management games.

We are making a simple 3D fight system and we are having some questions, we are deciding if the player controls the boxer or if the player is the manager and gives instructions to the boxers, something like Football Manager.

Our goal is to make every career feel temporary, but meaningful. A promising fighter can become a champion, decline because of age, struggle with injuries or morale, and eventually leave, but the consequences of their career remain part of the academy you are building.

The public Version 0.3.0 is now available. It includes a much more competitive simulated boxing world, with rival academies and fighters developing careers of their own, alongside a major UI and UX overhaul.

It is currently free, single-player, in English, and playable in a desktop browser:

We’re still actively developing it, so honest feedback is genuinely useful.

How would you give players agency during 3D fights without undermining a management simulation?

We are designing the future 3D fight presentation for a boxing management game, and we have reached an important problem: how much control should the player have once the fight begins?

The core game is about developing fighters over many years. Training, coaching, fatigue, injuries, morale, style, experience and preparation are supposed to determine how a boxer performs. Direct controls would make the fights more interactive, but they could also create a conflict with the management layer. A highly skilled player might win with a badly prepared boxer, while someone less mechanically skilled could lose despite making excellent long-term decisions.

My preferred solution is to make the player the corner rather than the boxer, something like Football Manager. The player would prepare a game plan before the fight and then make limited tactical interventions. Between rounds, they could change priorities, respond to the opponent, manage the fighter’s condition or decide whether continuing is worth the risk. The boxer would still make the actual decisions in the ring. Their ability to execute an instruction would depend on attributes such as fight IQ, technique, discipline, confidence, fatigue and coachability. If instructions only happen between rounds, the player may spend too long watching without participating. If instructions can be changed constantly, the system risks becoming real-time micromanagement and reducing the importance of preparation. If commands produce immediate and predictable results, they may feel like direct controls with extra steps.

Boxing Dynasty Online - build an academy and manage a boxing career from prospect to Fight Night

Hi! We’re the team developing this game.

It is currently a free, local single-player alpha that runs in the browser. You create an academy, choose a prospect, manage training, staff, finances, injuries and morale, then prepare your boxer for Fight Night.

Persistent online multiplayer is a long-term goal and is not part of the current build.

If you try it, we’d really like to know the first moment you did not know what to do.

Looking for playtesters for a boxing management game

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for testers for Boxing Dynasty Online, a boxing management simulation currently in active development.

Game link:

https://tiagobuzz.itch.io/boxing-dynasties-online

Platform

PC

Playtime

Approximately 15–20 minutes

Goal of this playtest

I’m trying to answer a few specific usability questions from completely new players.

Please play without reading any guides or asking for help first.

I’d like feedback on these questions

At what point did you first feel unsure about what to do?
Was the UI easy to understand?
Which screen was the most confusing?
Which decision felt the most meaningful?
After 15–20 minutes, would you keep playing?
Why or why not?

About the game

Boxing Dynasty Online is a long-term boxing management simulation.

Instead of controlling a boxer directly, you build and manage an academy by scouting prospects, developing fighters, hiring staff, managing finances, dealing with injuries and morale, and making long-term career decisions.

The current version is 0.1.7.

This is an early single-player alpha focused on the management systems. Features, balance and UI are still evolving. Persistent online multiplayer is a long-term goal and is not part of the current public build.

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have never played the game before, since first impressions are the most valuable at this stage.
Thank you for your time! Every piece of feedback helps improve the project.

[RevShare] Looking for a Pixel Artist for a boxing game

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a few collaborators to help develop Boxing Management Game, which the main idea is a long-term management simulator focused on building fighters, careers, academies and boxing dynasties across many in-game years. This is not just an idea or an empty design document. BDO already has a playable public prototype on itch.io, currently at version 0.1.6 Staff.

Who we are looking for

A 2D artist or pixel artist for the logo, fighter portraits, belts, icons, academy visuals and general art direction;

Compensation

The main arrangement is revenue share. The project does not currently generate meaningful revenue, so payment cannot be guaranteed. Any budget, scope and delivery expectations will be discussed honestly before work begins. This is not a full-time job and there is no promise of immediate income.

What the project offers

- A working and regularly updated prototype;
- an extensive roadmap and design documentation;
- established systems instead of starting from zero;
- creative input over the visual and technical direction;
- visible portfolio credit;
- a long-term project with commercial ambitions.

The goal is to create a deep, multiplayer boxing management game inspired by games such as Football Manager, Out of the Park Baseball and Motorsport Manager.

Playable build:

I would love any feedback on my early boxing game

Hi everyone!
I’m looking for people to test my game, an early boxing management simulator where you run an academy, discover young prospects, develop fighters from the amateur level, schedule professional fights, climb the rankings, compete for titles, and manage each boxer’s morale and career.

This is an unpaid playtest. I’m mainly looking for honest feedback about, whether the game is easy to understand, which parts are confusing or difficult to find; bugs or broken features, UI and navigation, fight, training and progression balance, whether the morale system feels believable, what feels fun, repetitive or unnecessary. ANY FEEDBACK IS GOOD, PLEASE!

The game is still in early development, so rough edges are expected. Even a short test and a few comments would help a lot.

Play here:

Thanks to anyone willing to give it a try!

Hi everyone, I’m Tiago and i’m looking for a team to join Boxing Dynasty Online, a multiplayer boxing management simulator focused on long-term careers, fighter development, rankings, titles, gyms, aging, training, and emergent stories. The project is inspired by games like Football Manager, Out of the Park Baseball, Motorsport Manager, and classic boxing management games, but with a deeper focus on building fighters across years and generations. The game already has a playable prototype with systems for fighter generation, simulation, rankings, progression, academy management, and UI structure already in place. We need an artist to help define the visual identity of the game.

What we are looking for:

A 2D artist interested in sports management games, simulation games, or long-term strategy games. Pixel art is also welcome and may fit the project very well, especially for fighter portraits, icons, belts, gym visuals. Non-pixel 2D art is also welcome if the style is clean, readable, and works well for a management simulator.

And looking for a gameplay/systems programmer who likes simulation-heavy games. I’m working with, HTML / CSS / vanilla JavaScript.

This is currently an indie project in early development. We are looking for collaborators who want to help shape the game from the foundation. At this stage, this is best suited for someone interested in portfolio work, long-term collaboration, or revenue share if the project becomes commercially viable.

If you are interested, please send a DM or add me on Discord:

Thanks for reading.

I released the first public prototype of my boxing management sim on itch.io

Hi everyone,

I released the first prototype of my boxing management sim, Boxing Dynasties, on itch.io. It is an early browser-playable prototype about building fighters, managing a boxing academy, and eventually creating long-term boxing dynasties. Version 0.0.1 is still very early and focuses on the foundation. I would really appreciate feedback on the interface, clarity, concept, and overall direction.

You can play it here:
