I requested pickup at MCO and went to pickup spot exactly how the instructions said outside bag claim. The app showed that the driver was "waiting" but he wasn't next to me on the app. I had no option to say that he wasn't waiting or that I was there. I sent him a message and told him where I was and he replied that he's on his way. Then he took a long loop out of the airport and got back 5 minutes later. Then the timer expired and the ride went away. He never drove by at the pickup level - must have been above. And never contacted me.
I got picked up at the same extract spot by another Lyft driver, so I know I was in the right spot.
Why doesn't the app stop the "waiting" period when the driver is making loops outside the airport??
I scheduled a ride to the airport. The driver got to the pickup early and I was walking over (I was still going to get to the pickup before the scheduled pickup time). Then the app said "you're on your way". And I saw the driver pull away and even waved to him. Then I texted him "where are you" and "I'm here". He said "ok got it." And he actually came back. I got in and said something about why did he start the trip and he said sorry and other things I didn't understand. I didn't make a big deal or try to cancel because I just wanted to go to the airport.
What happened? Why did he do this? What if he completed the whole ride without me? Should I contact Uber?
I'm trying to do a DIY wifi sprinkler controller.
I have a 120 V AC to 24 V AC plugin adapter for sprinklers. I plugged it in when I think it was shorted.
My multimeter still shows 20 V when I plug it in and I don't remember it being hot or making a sound. This is the adapter that was used for the old sprinkler controller, so I know it used to work.
Did I kill it for sure, or is it worth bothering re-connecting it to the old sprinkler controller?
And if I killed it, why would it still show 20 V?
Why do I get mailers from multiple agents with an initial quote that's not close to the final quote at all, but everyone is an Allstate agent?
Does every agent get a quote from Allstate for my house that's the same on their end and then they add whatever markup they think they can get away with? So basically a buyer would choose them unless the buyer shops around?
So do people just not shop around and pay thousands more per year than they would if they just shopped around a bit? How can people afford to be so careless about what they pay for home insurance?
