Is sync.so actually worth the $50/mo growth tier or am i overpaying??

I am on the $50/mo plan on sync.so rn. Running a small content channel on instagram and x, mostly multi-language memes and dubs. Sync.so - the lipsync quality is genuinely the best ive seen available.

But the math isn’t mathing - at the $50 plan i’m getting 5-9 videos edited depending on the size, and the next tier is $249, which is 5x the price for what would be 1.5x my usage.

I am not technical enough to just use the api. What are you all using?

Duolingo chess and airlearn chess content, which is better?

Been playing chess on both the apps right now, duolingo makes me feel like im there more to maintain my streak and less to learn whereas airlearn seems like it needs more gamified features to hook ppl on the app. I would say better content than duolingo but lacks the daily gratification.

Have you tried either? what are you using?

Share rocket.new alternatives?? the results are not nice here…

With so many vibecoding tools in the market, i started auditing my rocket.new spends and if i should even be paying for it? On rocket.new i have just built small client SaaS dashboards.

Some tools im looking at:

  • emergent, seems good based on what friends are shipping, looking for more reviews

  • lovable, hear cost issues, lovable cloud is an issue

  • v0 + vercel, more setup, more design control

if you've shipped something on any of these in the last 90 days, drop your stack + monthly spend + the one thing u'd warn me about before switching.

Anyone actually used sync.so or am i just seeing it everywhere lately?

The demos look insane but ive been burned by 3 lipsync tools this year that died. The second i uploaded my own footage. if u've actually paid + shipped with it, is it as clean as the marketing or does it fall apart on long form?

Dubai educated me abt the arabic fragrance hype, and I fell for the consumerism.

I was in dubai for my tetr college rotation last year, already owning a couple of decent colognes. Little did i know when I got to Dubai Mall, tried a couple of ouds and man I’ve not bought 20+ bottles i don’t need.

Every week, there's a new must-have clone, a new beast mode performer, another influencer screaming buy before it sells out.

I haven’t used most of them, resold half eventually, and unfollowed every fragrance influencer lol.

The ones i kept, particularly the tobacco ones are genuinely great, but I think i have enough for 10 years now..

Did the oud bug catch you as well when in Dubai / Saudi?

Best AI dubbing tool for arabic rn? everything ive tried either sounds robotic or mispronounces basic words

I am working on freelance project arabic dub of a 15 min product explainer (recorded in english originally). need clean MSA arabic + decent emotion, not the robotic newsreader voice that every default model gives u, please.

tried so far eleven labs and google text to speech, even some indian dubbing studios from platforms. Right now testing with sync. so the mouth matching looks good but little bit costly with the api pricing.

Can you please help me with recommendations?

What's a festival from your country that you wish more people outside actually knew about?

I've been around a diverse set of people from countries around the world thanks to college, and every single one of them has one festival back home that's huge for them and basically means nothing to everyone else.

Mine is Guelaguetza, Oaxaca's big indigenous cultural festival. Dance groups from different regions perform in traditional dress, there's mezcal, mole, and the whole thing is about communities sharing what they have with each other (that's literally what "guelaguetza" means - mutual gift-giving).

Most people outside Mexico have hardly heard of Día de los Muertos, but Guelaguetza nope. Here it is just as massive though.

What's that hidden festival from your country / region?

Testing is automated in nocode builders, nothing left for me to do now?

I'm terrified seeing all these autonomous agents. They write the code, they find the errors, they test, and yes, deploy also. So what do I do? Hey, emergent deploy this.

Next step is, hey emergent, please optimize the credit usage 😭 😂
