But if you actually break down the psychology of how human beings process gender and aesthetics, this reaction is entirely backward. If conservatives truly cared about defending a rigid, easily understandable binary, femboys should be their ultimate ideological enemy, while trans women are actually following the path of least logical resistance, or if anything, even proving that they are about conservatism. (weird right?)

Femboys' "look girly but call me a man" aesthetic causes infinitely more cognitive dissonance than someone who simply transitions. Like it or not, human beings are completely hardwired for binary vision. Our brains are practically programmed to shoehorn everything we see into neat, recognizable categories just to make sense of the world efficiently. The conservative worldview relies heavily on these rigid categories remaining intact.

When someone goes 100% in on a feminine presentation but stubbornly keeps the "man" label, or mixes signals right down the middle with a half-masc/half-fem aesthetic, it causes a massive amount of cognitive friction for the average brain to process. It breaks the categorization engine.

Think about it logically. If someone is wearing skirts, doing full makeup, acting feminine, and presenting as a woman in almost every conceivable scenario, it is infinitely more logical to just say, "Yeah, I’m a woman."

Trans women just go full house. The aesthetic matches the label. Whether conservatives want to admit it or not, the trans woman's approach actually respects the concept of categorical presentation.

The logic: "I have gender dysphoria, I present entirely as female, therefore I adopt the female label so society knows how to interact with me."

When a guy goes through a massive amount of effort to express femininity, sometimes literally looking indistinguishable from a girl, but still goes, "Nah, I'm a man," that is what actually short-circuits the brain.

My point is whether you believe trans women are truly women is a debate for another day. But structurally speaking, their desire to align their label with their presentation is undeniably more logical.

In effect, here is what the two groups are saying:

Group A (Trans women): "I was born male, but I align with feminine presentation and aesthetics, so I will adopt the label of 'woman' so my outside matches my category."

Group B (Femboys): "I was born male, I will adopt every single aesthetic marker of a woman, I will look exactly like a woman, but I am a man, watch who you're beefing with, and don't ever call me she/her."

Yet somehow, the MIGA crowd and the good chunk of anime-fapping, 4chan trap threader "alpha males" look at these two groups, call the former a mental illness, and call the latter "based." If they actually cared about cognitive consistency and defending the binary, their aversions would be completely swapped. For the record, I’m not saying conservatives should attack femboys - nobody deserves that kind of heat. I’m just pointing out that if conservatives actually applied their own logic about 'protecting traditional categories,' they’re currently pointing their outrage at the wrong crowd.

for women: it literally holds them back financially and locks them out of spaces because of outdated "norms".

and if you want proof that gender is the problem, just look at little kids. children have the absolute least understanding of gender, and it cannot be a coincidence that they are the most cohesive and united group of humans on earth. you see random kids at a park, boys and girls, just playing together, sharing toys, not caring about anything except having fun. but you almost never see that kind of pure, effortless connection with big people. why? because by the time we grow up, we’ve been infected with all these unnecessary labels, societal expectations, and sexual norms that force us into separate corners. like, do we really need same kinder egg choco but one in blue package one in pink package? who gives a fuck?
