1987 Suzuki super six 150hp outboard motor - Power trim trouble shooting
First time I’ve had this issue. Had the power trim working for a split second to tilt the motor up to get the transom saver bar freed up from the trailer. Went to trim the motor in the down position and nothing. No sound of hydraulics at all, just the clicking sound of the trim switch at the transom. Began by troubleshooting the wiring connections and everything seems fine and all connections look tight and clean. Got the motor to start up and turn over fine as well, so I don’t believe there is a voltage issue.
Any other recommendations for troubleshooting these symptoms on my power trim? I was reading up on it a bit online and sounds like there could be a bad relay or failed trim motor? Any help at all is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

With no eastern Pennsylvania stops currently in the plans, where are my fellow Philly Gosslings going to see the band play this year?
Do I just holdout for the AC Goosemas rumors or what’s the play here if you live in the Philly area and what shows are you going to? Not trying to travel super far or use any PTO from work ideally.

1987 Fiberglass Stratos 17’
I have some small “chips” around the hull of my fiberglass Stratos. I have a picture on this post of the most concerning spot I found on the stern. I haven’t had the boat on the water since it was handed down to me. Does the damage shown in the picture concern anyone in terms of leak risk? Any recommendations on repair suggestions or urgency of having this work done before I plan for a water trial?

“Yankees Go Home”
Saw a bunch of stickers in Firenze and even some graffiti on road signs in and around Tuscany that read, “Yankees Go Home”.
Is the message as plain vanilla as it reads? “Americans go home, we don’t want you in our country”? I didn’t feel any direct resentment while being a tourist other than the typical stank face looks and sarcastic comments asking if I was from California by the way I was dressing.
I had no clue Italians even felt this way about Americans specifically, vs people from other parts of the world. Found it to be very strange and unexpected when I first read the words. It is really ironic too because most of the Americans we met in Italy were from the south, whose roots are far from supporting the “Northern Yankees” in the U.S. Civil War haha
Does anyone know the real meaning or history behind the “Yankees Go Home” slogan that is very clearly seen in and around Firenze?

Getting married 5/8/2026
One of the 1st commonalities that my fiancé and I had in the beginning of our relationship were our love of the GD. Our 1st date we went to see our local Philly GD cover band, Splintered Sunlight, play at the Ardmore Music hall. A year later, I proposed to her inside the Sphere before the Dead & Co. show on April 17th 2025. And now today, we’ll have May 8th live on forever in our life, both musically and through our companionship. This music has so much power and love built within it. I can proudly say that if it was not for the GD, I may not had found my life partner. Music was the backbone for our relationship to thrive and grow, while going to live shows together formed our bond stronger than I ever could had imagined!
Happy May 8th everyone, I hope you will enjoy the day as much as I will! ❤️⚡️
