Eeerrgg! I HATE the cats!

I still can't fathom how these are supposed to be the best weapon in the game. I use the clover and armor and they STILL kill me.

Is the only way to use them is using the Disco of Gold arcana so I can heal better? I shouldn't HAVE to heal, but for some reason I just can't stop dying when I use Gatti Amari

X8 is annoying AF

I've recently started replaying X8 and I'm just not having a good time.

Why do they fall like a rock?

Why are nearly all the stages like gimmick mini games?

Why are the collisions to spikes so crazy sensitive?

Why the hell do the ride armors not respawn in Panda's stage so I don't have to restart the whole damn stage? How do you kill the enemies in the ride armors and not destroy the ride armor? I've done it a few times but it seems to be by chance.

I could probably go on.

Well shit was flung up from people's feet and hit the fan

I was going to make a post asking what D20 campaign would be cool as a movie and I was going to say CCoD as it was very funny and seemed visually entertaining in my mind's eye (Though there are also some aspects that probably would have to be altered for various reasons)...then the finale happened and everything just went bonkers!

It seemed like there was too much to resolve in one episode so they had to rapid fire stuff as ridiculously as possible. Do you think that's what happened? I wonder why they couldn't just make another episode or split that one into two parts or something instead of whatever **that** was, haha

Why are the Emerald Diorama weapons so comparatively bad to other weapons?

Even the glimmer abilities are sort of trash. Take for instance Hell's Fury: using Imakoo with zero weapons with 5 Empty Tomes and the Silent Old Sanctuary arcana active, each pillar of the attack does piss-poor damage two times to one enemy while it stays on the screen for 5 seconds. Comparatively, there's Malphas, who also has hidden weapons, and has amazing DPS with said hidden weapons.

There are a few good ones, but for the most part they are very unremarkable.

Does anybody feel like X1's staff roll's theme out of place?

Oh, my friend just died and I'm gonna be fighting a long battle...oh well let's just have a cheerful bop!

Weird Gunastrophe mishaps

NOTE: I DELETED A RECENT POST BECAUSE I UPLOADED THE WRONG IMAGES AND COULDN'T EDIT IT NOR ADD A PIC IN THE COMMENTS

On a couple of runs the weapon just didn't harm anything (pic one and two) and on the last few runs it, paired with the Divine Bloodline and Heart of Fire arcanas, acted as if every bit of damage from the weapon was retaliatory damage. (Pic three) That made my health skyrocket which made my attack go up insanely high very quickly.

I have a feeling it might be a bug with the new fire attribute thing? Not sure.

Mina doesn't taste good

So this has probably already been established, but both the dog guy that looks like a Disney Goof Troop character and mutant Thorne spit Mina out after a few chews. These have to be related to each other.

Maybe it's all the plasma Mina has drunk?

... hopefully there's not another secret ending where if you never drink any of the plasma...

Just the tip...

Did anyone else feel the whip is kind of difficult to use? I did a whole playthrough with just that, and now on a second playthrough I'm using the needles and they are quite a lot easier to use.

The most EVIL Bonestone

Not only do you have to go through a gauntlet of pits and auto scrolling, but you can't get back to this point without having to go back to the beginning of the gauntlet to get back to it as you can't go back up from the end of the gauntlet. And you're supposed to think "hey, lemme just stand on these stairs while the walls close in on me."

Yes, I'm aware of the save point right at this area, however if the next save point is activated, you're fucked and have to trek aaaaaaallll back around to the beginning. The place is already confusing as it is; I had to putz around for half an hour or more to figure out how to get back to the beginning of the gauntlet. Then I forgot again. 😬

The one that is a tunnel hidden underneath a candle is pretty evil too, as that's easily overlooked AND you have to have the lamp trinket to see much, but at least it's at the end of the gauntlet where you can get back to it relatively easily.

I don't get it

I don't understand how you're supposed to dodge things when it takes a FULL SECOND to start burrowing. It's damn near impossible to get away from these things' grab when it telegraphs the move. I *would* go get different sub weapons, but it's complete ass to go wandering around to find what you want while losing what you already have.

EDIT:

😐 And for the next slap in the face, I actually get an item to help dodge after defeating these guys.

Trying to like it, but it ain't working out

I have nearly zero desire to try to 100% this game or replay it. I like hard games, (Dead Cells, Blasphemous, etc) but this just feels like a slog and not rewarding enough to really care. Everything seems to be designed to piss you off more than to have fun with the game.

Sorry for yet another loser-griping-about-the-game post.

I swear I don't seem to like new games anymore. 😩

Werewolf folklore history video

So I found (or the algorithm found it for me) about the folklore origins of werewolves, but its visual content is AI created. I'm not sure if it's ok to post since there's a no AI rule for images even though it's more than that. Lmk.

So, after seeing this post with a comic about Samus disapproving someone taught that girl to swear, I had a thought.

It's not too far-fetched to think Samus is highly attuned to protecting children and innocent animal babies. (Err..if they're not in her way and trying to kill her. She's pretty ok with exploding threat-babies) I mean, her childhood was ripped away from her for the most part, it would make sense she wants to protect little ones. I could see her beating the crap out of some abusive parents or something.

Furthermore, and this is speculative, Samus may be barren due to being mixed with Chozo DNA, and later Metroid DNA. Even if she wasn't barren, that would put a child in a high risk situation during gestation and beyond. Perhaps that could weigh heavily on her too, though it would probably be unwise to have a kid in her way of life in general.

Did anybody else get disheartened about how the movie ended? Like, I kinda get it; it sets up for future Bowser antics, but it was just..kind of sad to see it go that way.
