how to break Free from China

Hi! I'm trying to form the Empire of Outremer, but after a succession I ended up becoming a tributary of the Chinese Empire. With my previous character, I tried to rebel against the Eastern Protectorate, but they quickly fielded around 200,000 troops. I managed to hold out for a while, but my character eventually died.

Since all of their territory is in the east and my armies suffer massive attrition whenever I try to invade, I have no idea how I'm supposed to break free from this protectorate. Does anyone know the best way to get out of it?

Searching for uncanny portrait painters for a tabletop RPG

Hi everyone!

I'm a Game Master currently preparing a KULT: Divinity Lost tabletop RPG campaign, and the story revolves heavily around art. I'm hoping some of you might be able to point me toward painters whose work fits the atmosphere I'm looking for.

In the scenario, the players are searching for a deeply tormented artist whose portraits are profoundly unsettling. The adventure describes him like this:

>

I'm looking for painters (rather than digital artists) whose portraits feel psychologically disturbing, uncanny, or as though they reveal the true nature of the person beneath their outward appearance.

So far, people have recommended George Tooker and Zdzisław Beksiński, and I absolutely love both. Their work captures part of the atmosphere I'm after, but I wanted to ask here in case there are other artists—well-known or obscure—that I might have overlooked.

Since this is for a tabletop RPG, I'm trying to build the most immersive visual experience possible for my players, so I'd love to discover artists that aren't immediately obvious.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Need advice on The Gallery of Souls (ritual, ending, and long-term campaign)

Hi everyone!

First of all, I just wanted to thank everyone in this subreddit for all the amazing advice I received before running my first KULT: Divinity Lost (4th Edition) session. It helped me a lot, and my players had a fantastic time.

My group decided to play a gang of bikers who are being hunted by the Mafia. By the end of our first scenario, they managed to escape the Mafia's grasp... at least for a while.

I've been looking at published scenarios for what to run next, and The Gallery of Souls seems like it could fit really well. The only difference is that I would keep my players' existing characters instead of using the pregenerated characters/NPCs from the original scenario.

For those of you who have run The Gallery of Souls, do you have any advice or things you wish you had known beforehand?

I'm also a bit unsure about the ending. The ritual, in particular, feels a little vague to me. How did you handle that part? How did it play out at your table?

Finally, has anyone continued the story afterward as part of a longer campaign? Did your player goes for full vengeance against the mob or working for them?

I'm grateful for any ideas, tips, or experiences you're willing to share. I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions in the future, but once again, thank you all—you've already been an incredible help!

Fable II I can't find French translation

Hello,

Today I subscribed to Game Pass so I could play Fable II again, one of the games from my childhood.

Unfortunately, I've run into a small problem. I'm a French speaker, and to fully enjoy the experience I'd like to play the game in French. However, there doesn't seem to be any option to select French in the game's language settings, even though the game's store page says that French is supported.

Could someone help me figure out how to play the game in French?

Problème de voisinage travaux

Salut !

Merci d’avance !
