An old watch in my parent’s garden.
So, while gardening, my father found this watch in their garden.
What i know:
- it’s written "s.g.d.g" wich mean "sans garantie du gouvernement" it’s a legal mention about patents in france which ceased after 1968.
- the cracked glass seem to be plexiglass (so i guess it is not an really high end watch.
- it didn’t rust so i guess it is at least gold plated.
- the house was build in 1886 and was in the same aristocratic family until my parents bought it in 2022.
I'm thinking of a lip?
We might try to clean it with ultrasounds.
Obviously, it is not possible to repair it. I don’t think it is worth much, i am just curious.
