Tracking PEM

How did you realize you had PEM vs being very fatigued? I’m fatigued all the time and I read that PEM might show up days afterward. As someone who rarely has a good health day, I’m trying to figure out how one would delineate PEM from the fatigue felt on a daily basis. I’m just nervous because I’m feeling like l haven’t been able to do nearly as much as I used to and afraid I’m overtaxing myself but don’t know how to identify or track PEM.

Reality Check

My husband divorced me and I’m left to find housing for myself and my disabled child. I entered a lottery to buy an ‘affordable home’ (essentially an apartment-size) and my number was in the thousands. The total number of lottery applicants was 12,631. That’s me, my child and at least 12,630 other people. I was born here, paid my taxes. I’ve worked my entire life since i was 13 years old until my child was born decades later. But here i am, a number among thousands looking for a roof. Be grateful as you put your children to bed tonight that you have secure housing. I wasn’t financially negligent. I did everything I could. I put myself through school. I worked. I didn’t come from money. I survived. But trying to survive while trying to help a child with so many needs survive too is soul-crushing.

Who has done the elemental diet?

I’m most likely going to need to do the ED. What has been your experience? Which one did you do?

Question for Capricorns: What hemisphere are you in (Northern or Southern) and what is your favorite month?

Just for fun, trying to see if northern and southern hemisphere Caps answer this question the same or differently.

I’ll start:
Northern Hemisphere
Favorite Month: September

Question for the men & women

Asking of both women and men. Because I know both sides deal with psychos. If you endured years of litigation, psychological etc abuse over years and years (I’m at 1,209 days and still not divorced - yup about 3.5 years in the family court slammer) how do you really release your anger and grief? Like can someone ever recover from hell and be normal again? I’m prepping files tonight for yet another mediation and I’m seeing how shitty I was treated by such a shit person and a shit system and it’s hard to not want to honestly either get revenge or just like disappear. I think my nervous system is shot. I’m so quick to flip at people these days when I used to be so nice damn I’m not even the same person anyone.

I haven’t had an alcoholic beverage since 2015 AMA

I usually forget to recognize/celebrate the day but I haven’t had an alcoholic beverage since 12/5/15. I used to drink quite heavily before that date. I wasn’t in AA but I was aware that my lifestyle was a problem.

Just finished my 2 weeks of rifaximin and Metronidazole. I’m now supposed to go on a 14 week low FODMAP diet.

My question is…… did anyone take herbal antibiotics after the 14 week antibiotic regimen? Would there be a downside? What’s the consensus on this?

Thank you!!

Going on my 3rd round of a 14 week antibiotic protocol. Interphase taken 20-30 mins before eating/antibiotic.

Will be on low FODMAP month following antibiotic completion with motility agent each evening. What else should I be doing?
