I bought a Garmin Vivoactive 5 for my birthday this year in India.
I'm heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem, but I chose Garmin primarily because of its battery life. I regularly play badminton, box, run, cycle, walk to work, and go to the gym, so longer battery life was a priority.
For the first three months, I was genuinely impressed with the watch.
However, I noticed something odd during a HIIT workout at home.
I forgot to start the HIIT activity before beginning my workout. Midway through, I checked my heart rate while I was drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. I could literally feel my heart pounding, but the watch was showing only 85 BPM.
The moment I started the HIIT activity on the watch, the heart rate gradually climbed to around 160 BPM without any major change in my effort level.
I stopped, recovered for a while, and tried again. During a few light dumbbell curls, the watch showed around 130 BPM while HIIT mode was active. As soon as I ended the activity, it dropped back to around 78 BPM.
I repeated this experiment several times and observed the same behavior consistently.
This made me wonder:
• Is the heart rate data outside workout mode significantly less reliable for rapidly changing heart rates?
• Has anyone else observed similar behavior with Garmin watches?
I'm not trying to criticize Garmin. I'm genuinely trying to understand how these watches work because I had assumed the optical heart-rate sensor was providing reasonably accurate real-time data regardless of the selected activity.
For those who've used both Garmin and Apple Watch:
• Does the Apple Watch perform better for continuous real-time heart rate tracking during spontaneous workouts?
• Are there other watches you'd recommend that provide consistently accurate real-time heart rate measurements without depending so heavily on workout mode?
I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences.

Hey folks!
Could someone please help me install the Assassin’s creed Valhalla?
Downloaded it from fit girl, and tried installing.
It fails at the end all the time.
Tried seeking guide from YT videos couldn’t find anything useful.
