Mom Keeps Sending Memes About How Much She Loves Me....

Suuuure has a funny way of showing it. Is this narcissism?

I'm on the cusp of estranging myself and my parent likes to send me reels to reinforce how much of a good mother she is. I feel nothing. I find it ironic that she thinks we have such a good healthy loving relationship and I'm about to cut her ass off and she "won't have any idea why"...

Anyone else have a parent that thinks they have an awesome relationship, but your reality couldn't be further from that?

Have You Ever "Lost It"?

I feel like for the past 6ish months, i haven't been able to create a single track or recording that sounds halfway decent. All the nice recording gear and microphones I have seem worthless. Did I make better recordings when I DIDNT have any gear, acoustic treatments, or instruments (sometimes it seems my "old" stuff sounds better than "new" stuff)? It's also almost like ive entirely forgotten how to play every instrument i know how to play, and forgot how to jam and collaborate with people. Can't sing on pitch for the life of me. I go to strum my favorite chord, and it feels and sounds wrong. I know the advice for this is usually "take a break" but what if i already am taking intentional breaks//music is also my career so it's intertwined in my life. I've tried to quit before and my spirit simply won't allow it.

Has anyone ever felt similar to this and what advice may you have?

What Do Ya Think of This Tune?

Hey friends, curious to hear some thoughts on this track! Did I cook or burn? I've been trying to make more dancey vibed music instead of slow stuff... I don't think it's done yet but getting close! Also sorry for the kinda cringe autism soaked video to go with it lol

AITAH for asking my roommate to stop whistling?

Context: I have a roommate who likes music, which is fine with me. I love music too, it's my job, and I'll sometimes sing along to songs and play my guitar at reasonable times and volumes. But any and every time my roommate, let's call her K, either plays music herself, OR there is any SILENCE going on, she fucking WHISTLES along to the music or to the silence and it's awful. Piercing. Off key, off pitch, off time and off rhythm. I'm going slightly insane and feel resentment building to the point I just leave the room when she starts whistling. She also only does it when she knows or thinks someone is in earshot, and doesn't do it alone in solitude when she plays music or has silence and doesn't think anyone is within earshot, anxious habit?

WIBTAH if I asked her not to whistle anymore?
