Over 1.2TB limit

I think because we signed up for iCloud we ran over this month’s allocation. It’s now $10 per 50GB.

Has anyone go over and how did your bill end up?

T-Mobile is much nicer about it. They just throttle you after you reached a certain limit. I’m in the waitlist for T-Mobile as am a bit tired of paying so much already for the basic service from Xfinity.

New iCloud (Windows) Install auth issue

I see this message in the iCloud app. I authenticated already before and iCloud Drive is working.

Verify your Apple Account to access your iCloud Data on Windows To access your iCloud data you need to sign in with your password and a verification code sent to your Apple devices.

When I tried to authenticate, and enter password, nothing happens. No progress. It eventually fails.

Have no issue logging in with iCloud.com on the web.

No firewall issues.
Disabled AV. Not an issue.

[question] Phone not waterproof after Apple iPhone battery replacement

We had my wife’s phone battery replaced in Apple Store and she fell in water today during sailing (it was in her pocket and it was only in the water for a short time) and now lenses are fogged up. Arent they supposed to reseal it?

We have AppleCare+ so we will invoke replacement but would like to know what to expect from battery replacement.

Standard answer: go to ER

My PEM gives me chest pressure next to a host of symptoms you all know well. Had MRI and echocardiogram done and structurally it’s fine.

However anytime I make a mention of my LC symptoms the immediate response is to go to the ER. I understand they probably most tell you this… But it’s frustrating there is a lack of understanding. Referring to a cardiologist would make more sense.

End of rant.

Update: Troponin (high sensitivity) lab just came back: no sign of heart muscle damage. Lab results very low. hs-CRP also very low.

Jeweler broke center stone and wants us to pay for replacement

We brought my wife’s wedding ring to the jeweler. One of the smaller stones had fallen out and we have a life long service contract we paid a good amount of money for. We asked them to replace the small stone only. The center stone has a small chip on it and since it’s not noticeable with bare eye we don’t want to replace it. We told them that but they said the stone needs a bit of tightening and it might break.

Two weeks later they texted us they broke the stone and want us to shop for a new stone. Yes we pay for the damage they created.

I think we have a pretty strong case in small claims court.

Would be helpful to get advise on the process. Do we pay first for the replacement and then serve them with small claims court letter later?
