Conch Gamma C is Good!

Got this Portronics Conch Gamma C for calls and it has decent microphone. The audio quality is great as well.

With just ₹315/-, it does a fairly good job.

However, if you're ready for a trail and error, there are local brands which would give your excellent quality under ₹200/-.

Rapido Drivers are Goondas!

I kid you not. Almost 25% of their drivers are anti social elements, and just looks out for opportunities to abuse, shower tantrums and show frustration.

I've been a receiving end of it couple of times and it's actually making me rethink on using the app.

Both the incidents have been fairly similar. Driver wanted me to cancel the ride and then go with him directly, which I clearly refused.

One captain clarified this before taking OTP, and man it was such a shit show. He was threatening me, abusing me and I was like - cancel the ride, I will not. And he almost wanted to ride his bike on me. I simply walked off, but the indicent stayed with me.

The recent captain was less abusive. He took the OTP and then said this location you've changed (which I didn't). And then said cancel the ride, I'll not go. When I said I won't cancel, man he showed tantrums like a kid. However, he didn't chase me like the other guy.

In both the cases, Rapido support is hardly bothered. They only ensured I got my Rapido wallet money refunded.

2AC + Window Seat = Bliss!

No airport queues. No boarding announcements. Just stretches of green and the sound of the tracks.

The absence of noisy co-passengers makes the journey so much more peaceful.

AITA for not donating my reserved train seat to the Family Republic?

TL;DR: Refused to swap my train seat. Apparently I'm the villain now.

Currently on a approx 2 day train journey in 3AC with a Side Upper berth.

A large family boarded with 12+ seats. They have 7 seats in my bay and the rest are in another coach. They asked if I'd swap so they could have the entire block together.

I was actually okay with it... until they realized the seat was three coaches away.

I politely declined. It's a long journey, and I'd rather stay with my allotted seat, luggage, and copassengers than move three coaches just for their convenience, as info is tied to original PNR + seat.

That's when the guilt tripping began.

First: "We'll help you." Then: "There are so many women with us and you're just one guy."

Apparently traveling alone means I'm supposed to give up my reserved seat.

Since then, I've been getting judged the entire time. One of the younger girls loudly commented, "The audacity to not give us the seat." Someone else even suggested I should climb up to my Side Upper... during the daytime. Another member has been trying to passively provoke me into reacting.

The funny part is, asking wasn't the issue. Refusing to accept "no" seems to be.

Anyway, it's 1 vs 7 for the next day and a half. Wish me luck.

What's Tiwary's beef with the franchise he represented?

Why would Kartik want to leave the very franchise which trusted his talent, Manoj?

Tyagi for a single bid and that's from KKR. (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Surely, he would get high bids if he chooses to check his worth, but loyalty is something many people have.

Do you think Manoj is salty or I'm just overreacting based on a statement.

One Last Ride This Season — Thank You, Kolkata Knight Riders! 💜

Before the last game of the season, just wanted to say one thing to our dear Knights - Thank You! 💜

To every player who wore the jersey this season, thank you for being part of this team, for the effort, the love, the fight and everything you gave. Yes, even the ones we criticised every second match in the match thread – thank you.

We still have one game left, but honestly, regardless of what happens, this team deserves appreciation.

A season full of political drama, injured players, weird decisions going against us, back-to-back 7 winless matches… and still WE kept fighting. We did not ever given up - that’s what I’ll remember!

We may not have had the smoothest season, but we showed resilience. We showed character. And somehow, even after all the suffering, we all still came back every match like emotionally damaged family members!!

Win or lose - KKR till we die.

Proud of this team. Proud of the legacy. And proud of us supporters too, because surviving this season was not for the weak – Thank to us, All!

I come back to this video every now and then.

When I'm sad, low and need someone to pat me up, I come to this video - not the sixes or the wickets, the happiness, the smile, the excitement and all the beautiful emotions which the KKR 2024 shows and it also makes me remember how beautiful life was in that year.

Sharing here for all of you as well.

Any Kolkata Redditor willing to let me ride their Yamaha MT-15 v2?

Kolkata Yamaha dealers are guarding the MT-15 v2 test ride bike like it’s a limited edition superbike.

So here I am, requesting the good people of Reddit:

Any fellow MT-15 V2 owner willing to let me ride their bike for a few hours on a Sunday in Kolkata?

In return, I offer either:

  • Petrol
  • Biryani
  • Coffee
  • Or whatever your soul craves (except alcohol / cigarettes; I’m trying to thank you, not destroy you)

You can absolutely ride along with me too. In fact, that’s probably safer for both of us! 😂

Tried rental services too. Nobody has an MT-15. Central Kolkata preferred. I have an active DL, and will be ready to share as requested.

NB - If anyone knows any other way to get a proper MT-15 test ride in Kolkata, please let me know!!!

I was exactly talking about this in my previous post and thread discussions.

We don't blindly go by the law. We need to see the intent, POV of the batter, and related things and then take the decision.

If it was just black and white, then why to keep human umpires, just source it to AI, and it'll take the right (bookish) call all the time.

Let's discuss.
