high profile corruption cases should be punishable by high compensation/death penalty?

In a country where people are forced to kill themselves for a small amount of 500 rs, 1000 rs, 5000 rs or 10,000 rs high profile and high value corruption cases should be punishable by death, only then can we insure that justice was served to souls of people who lost their lifes because of loans/udhari. We have all heard cases of farmers, small vendors and salaried employees killing themselves for the reason of not being able to manage finances because of perpetual loans/ informal lending for small amounts. That is happening in the same country with many high profile scams worth 100s and 1000s of crore happening every other day. It is really disheartening and humiliating thing happening in the country, and justice must be served for same.

Other option would be to have high/ proportionate compensation for the scams as compared to other penalties. In case bus ticket the ticket is 15 rs vs penalty 300 rs so 20x compensation. Driving license 1000 rs license fees vs penalty 5000 rs so 5x compensation. PUC certificate 200rs vs penalty 10000 rs so 50x compensation. Drunk driving taking cab 500 rs vs 10000 rs penalty so 20x compensation. Why are such standards not staunchly followed in case of high profile/ high value corruption cases.

Why is it considered bureaucracy is a product of socialism and not a tool to preserve power.

Bureaucracy/ license raj is specifically structured and maintained in such a way that a curious hardworking individual will not be able to gain power easily, it is specifically a tool so that elites can retain power, with network, connection and money.

It is not at all a social structure, as social structure is for the people by the people, if bureaucracy was actually a social reform incompetent corrupt officially would have been actively discharged from their duty.

Why is it considered that bad civic sense in India is a public/socital problem? OC

We say that Indians dont deserve rights because they dont have basics civic sense. Why is it that the problem is abstracted and blamed on our societal behavior and ethics, as in we are/have been this kind of people.

While the real problem is something much more serious. When it comes to economy, it is very proudly told that we empower the elites so that the wealth will trickel down and everyone will benifits. Similarly and more profoundly it must be noted that it is the people in power who have been acting totally unethically/ imorally. And thus these behaviors and instincts have gushed down through the social structure. Remember that ethics and behaviors will move down the from top much more aggressively and rapidly than wealth ever would.

I think Modi wont leave his seat until there is a situation like Emergency.

One thing I have seen continuously throughout his rule is that he has no character. He hides the true situation of India for international events like G20, shows to the world a fake image of India, lies to the country that everything is good, does not answer anyone, promotes unhealthy business practices, monopoly, Acquisitions, wealth inequality. A man with this kind of personality would never admit that he has lost.

India would be a much different place if there were no P. V. Narasimha Rao and Narendra Modi

I will respect Vajpayee and MMS cos thats the only time when rupee consistantly outperformed dollar. Which means we were considered more investment worthy than US of A despite bombings. Science and manufacturing expanded. There were talks of India being a strong global contender.

Do anything but do not invest in sips

The thing is you have no control over your investment and what it is actually used for funding. It may very well be some ponzi scheme of failing stocks with internal relationships with orignal investors or management. At best you will get an semi competent manager who will give you above fd rates in good days. Main thing is you dont have the power to vote and thus dictate decisions of management which is really important. And also takes away ability to remove bad/fraudulent stocks.

One of the major reason for markets falure today is due to bad investments by mutual funds and insurance companies in India. They are voting and making favour based decisions for companies using your money

Kindly understand this thoroughly. Its a big problem in India. Incompetent wealth accumulators.

Your thoughts sub?

Get this simple thing, when british ruled they never had direct control but ruled through business proxies/sawkars/landlords. These were the guys who sold swordsmen to british to tackle indias numbers, forced people to grow opium, indigo, cotton, conducted slave trades. When british became weak in India these guys hid under the banner of swadesi. After british left and till today these same guys continue to act as foreign proxies. Selling cheap exports, buying pricey consumables, making easy money. Thus there has been no major innovation in India.

We never tackled the root cause of problem, thus these problems, falling rupee, increasing wealth gap, only happens in India.

Why INR has fallen over the years ? (List of largest companies in India, my takes)

This is a preliminary division and i have not deep dived into each companies balancesheets and products/services segmentations but it is based on general idea about the companies/ google searches. Feel free to share your views and thoughts about same, any divisions you would like to change

Green : good for India no changes required.

Yellow : changes, restructuring or government interventions could help, donot totally benifit but not too bad.

Red : harmful to Indias development in their current state.

Urgent need for strong social unions in India (Your Opinions ?)

I find the current course of Indian politics extremely worrying and horrific.

Under current leadership and leaderships of past India has become extremely consumption centric and capitalistic society. Certain iniatives were taken like space program, atomic energy, homegrown IT and Institutes of national importance which were meant to strengthen the country, but their impact and implementation was limited due to capitalistic tendencies of business houses.

There is a huge party-large business nexus, where business houses lobby parties to have political dicisions in their favour to retain power and parties use funds to increase voter turnout by providing freebies.

This helps large business in maximising profits without real innovation or having pro-nation policies. This is deteriorating the nation by making businesses brokers for some powerful nations which see India as a "consumption center" and a source of "cheap labor".This is also reflected by the fact that most Indian businesses are man-in-the-middle, refining, raw material export, outsourcing none of which causes longterm development in the country. The point being businesses are not "people of India centric" because there is a way out and companies want to be risk averse.

This is also caused by the misconception that India should follow the footsteps of US and be a free and open market. Which is false because US has done many things to safeguard its people and retain control which India can't and shouldn't do. Better option seems to be following "rules and community based order" as promoted by Europe. Also study Chinas politics which has successfully uplifted a major portion of its population comparable to India, against external pressure. Though these politics should be selected cautiously as some have caused great pain to chinese masses.

So, is there a solution? My pov.

•) Having strong social unions, these could be based on working groups like labor unions for professionals, Intellectuals of a particular field. These can help solve problems in particular fields for needy instead of distributing freebies to everyone.

•) Giving more power to these unions having direction for devlopment rather than raw greed of open market controlled by external factors.

•) It is important according to me that these unions should be made of working groups having focus on solving issues in particular fields , rather than unions based on Caste, creed, religion, gender or any other bifurcation.

•) a competition or clash between such working groups would be much healthy than ethnic/religion clashes.Note that there are NGOs, CSOs, and VOs present but again they are funded by businesses and given target, or have religious agendas, or are a money making machine in disguise.

•) Id much rather have such unions lobby Intellectuals political elites than Greedy markets.

•) Having educated and visionary political leaders, with hands on experience in industries.

•)This results in business and instructions which actually care for Indians. Or we will have to get used to being called "hellhole" and "dead economy" .

And I promise you it is going to get much worse if things remain as they are.

One thing I particularly dont like about this leadership is absolute lack of strong willed Intellectuals in decision making. They have virtually given free bar for large businesses and external forces with no oversight, under the pretext of "fair and open market" which will have detrimental consequences for India.

Phrases like "rupee will find its place in market", "should everyone be poor? When asked about income inequality", "India is a gold importing country so prices are high", "rupee is not falling, doller is rising" are all excuses.

For those who think this is impossible, remember post ww1 Germany did it, Europe did it, US did it ( with bit of help).

There is no value addition or added benifit to users, just making plans more difficult and increasing charges. Large businesses exploiting customers, and undermining dependency.
