My interpretation of The Myth of Sisyphus
Sisyphus fans must be happy.
Sisyphus fans must be happy.
So this thought crossed my mind today, and I’m sure someone would have already said it out.
A man (conceptually defined by sociopolitical institutions and cultural understanding) reaches a point where he becomes either disillusioned or frustrated by what he experiences in his everyday life. Disillusioned can be at workplace, family, social circle; while frustrated in his dating ventures, retaining job and financial stability, and dealing with insecurities.
At this point, I think the philosophical suicide would be to either gravitate towards manosphere or self-help industrial complex. I don’t see much difference between religion and self-help/manosphere honestly. All of them rely on one thing, and that’s hope.
But to revolt is to reject and resist the definition reinforced by the sociopolitical institutions through morals, values, and language. The codes that men internalise and inherit through generations, ensure that men benefit out of the existing structures, and never question these structures if they want to continue to benefit of them.
I think that the entire gendered role, and the myth of man, is more damaging than women not wanting to date men. The whole idea of ‘man’ (as portrayed in pop-culture and media) is ridiculous. I believe that we are humans, and we get to construct our own narrative, irrespective of the gender or any other social identity that we are born with.
I have setup an indie film production house and now I’m putting together a film crew/team that would be producing short films. The idea is to explore the meaning of existence, and the meaninglessness of it through films. I have created a YouTube channel, where we would be putting out experimental and short films, and responding to calls by film festivals in the name of the production house.
Where we are at present:
• I direct and write screenplay
• We have an editor on board
• First experimental film is released on YT
What we need:
A cinematographer who is comfortable working with minimal gear/budget (this is a DIY, resourceful and meaningful filmmaking project). I’m looking for someone who is willing to experiment and explore different ideas, and not just follow the rules.
The path forward:
If you are willing to be a part of a crew that sees images not just as a mechanical reproduction of reality, but a form of art that interrogates our understanding of reality, DM me with the following details-
FYI:
P.S. The cinematography of Ghamak Ghar (2019), Joyland (2022), The Settlers (2023), April (2024) are some of my favourites.
How’s it going, on a morning that feels damp and lazy?
I’m M40, trying to pursue multiple projects simultaneously. I’m a lawyer by qualification, and an artist by definition. As my main project, I have a legaltech platform that I need to dedicate most of my time to. But in my spare time, I try to work on my art projects, which include digital/cyber works and filmmaking.
Off late, I have been putting off my art works, just because it has the lowest stakes. Whenever I start to work on film or other works, I get into a space where I start thinking what I can do, instead of doing. It’s like, I have the concept in my mind, but there’s a resistance to transform it materially. It’s been 3 months since I have done anything when it comes to art.
I feel if I could have a discussion with someone about art, life, philosophy, I will not only be interested in doing something, but will also learn a new perspective on life and existence. Because sometimes while trying to figure some concepts, I just get into the rabbit hole and by the time I know, it’s end of the day.
I have tried the following:
So if anyone is interested in having a decent conversation, and explore philosophical concepts together, DM me.
As long as you are 18+, we can start talking.

I am just amazed by the response of Delhi HC, “don’t drag us into this.” Wow!! A 21 year old girl is in hospital on ventilator, while these morons sitting in their ivory tower are saying not to drag them into this!
High Court and Supreme Court judges are the only public officials who are appointed based on an arbitrary criteria and have no requirement to clear competitive exams. While everyone else is required to clear exams, which by the way are a sham in India.
The courts are willing to take suo moto cognisance of matters that can be dealt in the normal course of time, but when it comes to protecting the Constitution, this is their response.
I think it’s high time the judicial system, along with the legislature and executive, underwent reforms. I feel there needs to be an overhaul of the judicial system, starting with appointment of judges.
If I sound like I am ranting, I am. But as a lawyer, I feel let down by the system that exists to protect the citizens from this exact scenario.
Today, I am saying this here, on this forum, we have a CAPTURED JUDICIARY!
I have been away from politics for a while now, and honestly, I have no clue what’s going on with the protests in Jantar Mantar, or Strait of Hormuz. But lately I am seeing people criticising people for not supporting a particular movement, or not voicing their opinion, or not being present.
My question is, when someone threatens or criticises a person for exercising their choice to remain silent, how different is it from a totalitarian ideology? Why does it have to be ‘either you are with us, or against us’?
I have been seeing a lot of posts/comments where people are shaming others who choose to just go about their lives and not get into something that they do not want to. If someone is at the protest site, and is passionate about politics, power to them. Protest is a part of democracy. Choosing to participate or not, is also a part of democracy.
What do you have to say, can we have a third way where we don’t support oppression and totalitarianism, but go about our lives by just not harming others? And where no one is compelled to do anything that they don’t feel like doing.

I believe that there are two types of personalities. One, who display cat energy 🐱 and, the other being dog energy 🐶.
Cat energy:
Indifferent to the world around them, will hang out with people who they decide they may like (and then can ghost them the next day). Food is a necessity, but not a priority. Sleep is a priority. Can get feisty, but reserved only for moments that demand being feisty. Has a sense of personal space, and does not like others intruding it, especially when in bonheur. Loves solitudes. Definitely likes catnips (greens).
Dog energy:
Very jumpy and energetic almost all round the clock. Loves attention, gives back equal (if not more) attention. Loves to be called a ‘good boy’. Follows instructions diligently. Loves to chase, but has no clue once it’s there. Food means existence. Gets lonely often. Invades personal space when it gets needy.
What do you think?
I think I have cat energy.
Making a short film in Delhi NCR. Looking for people who want to be part of it.
It's ~4 minutes. One character. No dialogue. Interior only.
The whole film is about a person trying to hang a picture frame straight. That's it. That's the film. (I promise it's more interesting than it sounds — or maybe it isn't, and that's also kind of the point.)
I'm looking for:
I am starting this as a hobby project, so there's no monetary incentive included. Possibly some chai or beer (depends on what you prefer) is on the house. The goal is to make something we're all proud of, learn what we don't know, and see where it takes us from there.
If any part of this sounds like your kind of thing, drop a comment or DM. Happy to share more details with people who are genuinely curious.
