Impossible to open an account

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to open a brand new Wise account but it keeps failing. I’m pretty sure it’s because I had previous accounts (or used emails linked to my name) in the past that are still somehow connected to my identity in their system.

Has anyone dealt with this before?

  • Is there a way to request Wise to fully delete or permanently close old accounts/emails associated with my name?
  • Once those are cleared, can I then open a completely fresh account?

Any advice on the best way to contact support or what to say would be really helpful. Thanks!

[FR] Unable to open account

I'm a Spanish citizen living in France. I've tried opening a Revolut personal account multiple times, but every attempt ends with "we are unable to offer services to you". No specific reason given.

Tried different times/devices. Support doesn't help. Anyone faced this? What can I do? Can Revolut review my case so I can finally open an account? Thanks.

Florida (Miami) – Landlord sent security deposit notice by email instead of certified mail after I left early. Can they keep the $8k deposit?

I’m in Florida and dealing with a security deposit dispute after leaving my apartment early. Here are the facts:

  • 12-month lease starting late March 2023, ending March 31, 2024.
  • Rent was $8,000/month.
  • At move-in I paid: $8k first month + $8k last month (advance rent) + $8k security deposit.
  • I left at the end of January 2024 (roughly 2 months early).
  • I gave notice by text more than 2 months before moving out and offered to let them show the unit while I was still there.
  • Keys were returned mid-February 2024 (because the owner lives in LA and the realtor was in Aspen)
  • I signed the Early Termination Fee Addendum agreeing to a $16,000 early termination fee.

On March 6, 2024, the property manager sent me an email stating that my security deposit would not be refunded due to early termination, and that I also owe an extra $180 for missing items (key fob, garage opener, entrance key).

They never sent anything by certified mail.

My questions:

  • Under Florida Statute § 83.49, does the landlord have to send the notice of intent to claim the security deposit by certified mail?
  • Since they only sent an email (and the reason given was very vague — just “early termination”), did they forfeit their right to keep the $8,000 security deposit?
  • Even though I signed the $16k early termination addendum, can they still keep the security deposit without following the proper notice procedure?

I’m trying to figure out if I have a strong case to demand the $8k security deposit back. Any advice or similar experiences would help.

Big companies go silent after new vendor onboarding – normal or deliberate delay?

I sell software/services to large corporations. As a new supplier they made me go through full onboarding (W-9, EFT/banking forms, contacts, etc.) then I sent invoices for work already delivered.

After that: complete silence. No confirmation invoice is in their system, no status updates, no “we’ll pay next week.” Money either just appears in the account or doesn’t.

Is this standard with big companies? Do they drag it out on purpose for cash flow? How do you get paid reliably from enterprise clients without endless chasing? Any tips or same experience?

These are our first invoices to big companies, and they all act the same way. We sent the invoice, they did the onboarding process, and now there's silence for almost 2 weeks now

PayPal froze my account right after a first-time payment and the “available balance” wasn’t actually available

I created a PayPal account over a year ago. Fully verified, everything done properly, but I never really used it.

Today I sold a car exhaust to someone I met on a Porsche forum. The buyer wanted to pay via PayPal for security, so I agreed. He sent the full payment.

The moment the money hit my account, PayPal froze everything. I can’t use the funds, can’t withdraw, nothing. They immediately asked me for verification documents like “proof of fulfillment.”

The issue is… what proof am I supposed to provide? The guy just paid me. That’s literally the transaction stage.

I decided to avoid complications and refund him. But here’s where it gets even more confusing:

  • The refund is not instant for the buyer (it takes 24–48 hours)
  • And instead of simply reversing the incoming payment, PayPal is pulling the refund from my linked bank account
  • So I’m effectively fronting the money even though the original payment is frozen

Now the buyer thinks something shady is going on because from his perspective, I can’t instantly refund him, and PayPal looks like it’s “delaying” everything.

On top of that, my account is under review. They say 3–10 business days, but my funds are completely inaccessible even though PayPal shows the balance as “available.”

That’s the part that really doesn’t make sense to me. If a balance is labeled available, it should mean I can actually use it. In reality, it’s not available at all.

Overall it feels like:

  • money is shown as accessible but isn’t
  • funds are frozen immediately on first use
  • refunds aren’t handled in a straightforward way
  • and support just sends automated verification requests that don’t match the situation

paypal, can you helpp???

Business Account Verification Stuck for Over Two Weeks - Need Help

Hi u/krakensupport,

I applied for a Kraken Business account over two weeks ago, but my application is still stuck on “Verification is pending.”

https://preview.redd.it/0uchvl7aob8h1.png?width=2300&format=png&auto=webp&s=975adae1a2e724c4690c22d072dacf283657a15f

The dashboard says that “All UBOs need to submit all of their ID documents via the email link sent to them.” The problem is that I’m the only UBO (100% owner) of the company, and I never received the verification email.

I’ve already tried the live chat, but I couldn’t get any help. I also emailed support more than two weeks ago and still haven’t received a response.

Could someone please look into my application and let me know how I can complete the verification process? I’d really like to get my business account up and running.

Thank you!

Hey everyone,

Just finished my first proper session in Focus 12 using Wave II Track 2 (Problem Solving). I went in with a clear question and intention.

When I reached Focus 12 and started asking for help with my problem, I suddenly felt like I was lying down while several presences were standing around me, watching me closely. I couldn't see them at all, but I could strongly feel them observing me. It felt like they were evaluating me - kind of like "Who is this guy and what does he want?"

I told them I needed help and immediately got the clear sense that they had agreed to help me, but they still didn't want to show themselves fully. It felt like a first meeting and there was some caution or distrust on their side. While typing this right now I'm getting really strong chills again.

Then, when the audio brought me back to Focus 10, I shook hands with a person whose face I couldn't see. Standing right next to me was a very tall figure (I only saw part of the legs, he was huge). This tall being also greeted the other person, like he was my guardian or protector.

The whole thing felt very real. Not scary, but definitely strange and powerful.

Has anyone else had experiences with unseen observers or tall guardian figures in Focus 12? Especially during the first few sessions?

Would love to hear your thoughts or similar stories.
