Things that aren't sets that could be sets?

I don't mean new gear although this could be new gear, but I'm surprised there's, for example, stuff like unique consoles for multiple versions of a ship (e.g. the t2 Nova Refit and the t6 Equinox, or similarly the two Saber consoles) that weren't retroactively given a 2pc effect for having both.

What happens if you force spawn the new human lost colony

Basically, does this mean there's a chance of both spawning even though they're narratively incompatible, or will forcing Gundersen block the CoM?

(I know it's an either/or thing if they're not forced)

The lower tech origins are neat but I feel like they could go deeper

Like straight up pre-FTL, with 6-12 year crossings between nearby systems as long as you don't have at least Eager Explorer-style warp drives unlocked (if the game still calculated distance like 1.x it would probably be easier to assign a time but let's say first freebie system for most empires and Alpha Centauri specifically for Sol takes the minimum jump time with a guarantee that it always has a direct hyperlane unlike what the game currently does), for nomads, arkships that need to spend several years in transit.

Make it possible to actually roll some techs like terraforming and habitats before you actually roll hyperdrives or something even.

The show's treatment of wastelanders

I'm fully convinced whoever is writing this crap thinks "poor people are gross" is the height of humor and I hope their career flatlines.

The misanthropy is beyond even the cringiest bits in Bethesda's Fallout games, it's the intrusive thoughts of a rich asshole who thinks people of walmart was the height of comedy.

Other than pickpocket and the first leadership perk what are worthwhile dips?

Like is Ghost worth the two points in Sneak if you're not going for an ADHD build?

For the anticonsumerist achievement

I can't confirm all bribes are fine but I can absolutely confirm the speech check bribe in that one quest on the Claim doesn't count as buying something for the achievement.

I feel like Brand Enthusiast can be a bit of a trap and I wish it wasn't

Like it heavily depends on the build, I guess, the core 3 factions do have the luxury of choice, but Subrosa seems to be strictly pigeon-holed into melee, and the Directorate has like 2 outfits and 5 weapons (admittedly the directorate sniper rifle is amazing but like almost half the directorate stuff is Zane's preorder bonus gear)

I'm also not sure the rift cultists have a single weapon (despite having armors) at all?

I feel like it would be nice, for the expansions, to round that out a bit, make the perk for keeping a specific faction cosplay valid for more than Protectorate/Order/Auntie Cleo's basically.

(4e) So I've been trying to do a house rule for damage, got carried away, decided to do distinct calibers and I'm having a doubt about my math

Originally I was just planning to add a flat +2 dice to all weapon damage codes (with few exceptions - tasers are already devastating enough when they hit), make guns actually something to fear when you take a hit even if it's a "light" pistol (ngl this is 50% an excuse to make light pistols worth it).

Then I went overboard, decided to try having some caliber distinctions for guns rather than generic types and started wondering - I made two calibers that should be similar enough 6P-1 and 7P to have a slight distinction >!(yes it's respectively 9mm and .45 ACP no this isn't an invitation for argumentative fudds since I was originally working on the premise of having something lighter than 9x19 as the flat 6P)!< but is -1 inherent AP not basically equivalent to 2-3 dice in terms of probability?
