Ya know what? It really is all going to be alright.

You know what? It really is all going to be alright.

Sorry, I just need to yap into the void a bit.

The past two years have felt like one long quarter life crisis, but this past year especially has put me through it. A traumatic breakup, moving on a whim, changing careers, family drama, family deaths, and now studying for one of the most strenuous set of exams I’ve ever taken.

But this year I’ve also worked harder than I ever have to get myself into a better place mentally, physically, and professionally. And for a while, it felt like everything was finally clicking. So many good things started happening at once that I genuinely felt like I was on a winning streak.

Then life reminded me about the ebbs and flows.
Yesterday I took my Series 7 for the first time and failed by two questions..

I was devastated. I had studied my ass off, passed my SIE on the first try, had good practice scores, and genuinely thought there was no fucking way I wouldn’t pass. Maybe I got a little cocky. Maybe life decided I needed some humbling.

My birthday is tomorrow, and yesterday I literally decided I was cancelling everything. I moped around feeling like I needed to punish myself for failing.
Then today, out of nowhere, I just started laughing.
Because this is life, isn’t it?

Sometimes you’re fucking killing it. Sometimes life knocks you flat on your ass right in the middle of your winning streak. Neither lasts forever.

And I think one of the best parts of getting older is that it takes me less and less time to remember that. A bad day doesn’t mean I have a bad life. One failure doesn’t erase everything I’ve worked so hard for.
Life is beautiful. Sometimes it’s also mean as hell. Both can be true.

So tomorrow I’m not punishing myself. I made a reservation at a really nice steakhouse, I’m getting dressed up, having a great dinner, and
celebrating my birthday.

And the Series 7? I get another shot in a month.
This time I know what I’m walking into. And I’m going back for those two fucking questions.

Anyway, thanks for reading my yap.
The tide comes back in. It really is all going to be alright.

Failed the Series 7 with a 70% today. I only have ONE more attempt before my job is on the line help me game plan.

Unfortunately, I’m making the post I really didn’t want to make. I took my Series 7 today and failed with a 70%. Knowing I was only 2% away honestly makes it hurt even more.

I’ve put 150+ hours into studying over the last 6 weeks, primarily using Pass Perfect, where I was averaging around 74% on finals. I also got an 82% on Series 7 Human vs. AI exam and an 84% on baseline.

I’m trying not to beat myself up, but I feel fucking awful. I felt like I got a really shitty pull and saw several questions/topics I genuinely didn’t recognize despite how much I studied.

My breakdown was:
Section 1: Very Low
Section 2: Borderline
Section 3: Borderline
Section 4: Adequate

The scary part is I only have ONE more attempt before my job is on the line. My continued employment is contingent on passing these exams.
I’ve deleted all my social media and distractions from my phone for the next month. I’m ready to lock in, but I want to study smarter, not just do another thousand random questions.

For anyone who failed around 68–71% and came back and passed: how would you game plan the next 30 days? Would you reread the book, hammer weak areas, switch/add a QBank, focus on finals, videos, etc.?
I’m devastated right now, but I was close. Next time I don’t want a 72 — I want enough breathing room that there’s no question I’m passing. Any advice would seriously mean a clot.

3 days out from my Series 7. Any last-minute advice?

Hey everyone,

I’m officially 3 days away from taking my Series 7 and the nerves are definitely starting to kick in.

If I had to guess, I’ve probably put in 150+ hours over the last 6 weeks since passing my SIE. I’ve been using PassPerfect as my main study program and I’m averaging around a 75% on the course.

I also took:
Series 7 Human vs. Artificial Intelligence exam: 82%

Ken Finnen’s (Capital Advantage) Baseline Exam: 84%

I’ve worked really hard for this and I’m feeling cautiously optimistic, but the anxiety is definitely creeping in now that it’s so close.

My plan is to avoid completely burning myself out this weekend, but I also don’t want to leave anything important on the table.

For those of you who recently passed:
What are your best last-minute tips?

Is there anything you wish you had reviewed one more time before exam day?

Any topics that seemed to show up more than expected?

Also, I attached my dump sheet. If anyone is willing to take a look, I’d really appreciate it if you could tell me if I’m missing anything important or if there’s anything you’d add.

Thanks in advance, and hopefully I’ll be back in a few days with a “I passed!” post.

3 weeks out, how would you structure your time?

Alrighty, hi guys!

I’m about 3 weeks out from taking my Series 7 on August 10th. I just finished going through the entire PassPerfect course and ended with a 78% overall average.

For those of you who have passed, how would you spend these last three weeks to maximize your studying?

My current plan is to:
Take one full practice exam each day.
Review every question I miss (and the ones I guessed on). And Watch Ken’s videos to reinforce the topics I’m weakest on.

I’d love to hear how you structured your final few weeks and what you felt made the biggest difference.

For context, I also used PassPerfect for the SIE and passed on my first attempt while averaging around the same scores.

One other question: Is it actually true that PassPerfect is harder than the real Series 7, or is that just something people say?

Thanks in advance! Any advice is appreciated.

Everyone was right, it does get better. 6m post BU

Officially, we broke up in December, but we’ve been completely no contact since the end of April.

If you had told me back in December that within six months I would have gotten a new car, moved into a new place, started a new job, lost 25 pounds so far, passed my stockbroker entrance exam, and filmed my first music festival just this past weekend, I would have told you that you were full of shit.

The breakup broke me in ways I never expected. There were days I genuinely didn’t think I’d ever feel okay again, let alone accomplish anything meaningful in such a short amount of time. I was so focused on surviving the pain that I couldn't even imagine what life would look like on the other side of it.

And honestly, I still cry if I think about it for too long. Every time I've accomplished one of these things, he's still the first person I wish I could run to and tell. The first person I want to share the excitement with. That's probably been the hardest part, not the achievements themselves, but realizing the person I wanted beside me for them isn't there.

But somewhere along the way, I've started accepting that I’ll probably never hear from him again. And while that still hurts, it doesn't stop me from being proud of myself.

This year, despite everything, I pulled myself together. I kept moving forward when I didn't want to. I set goals and chased them anyway. And so far, I've accomplished every single goal I've set for myself.

So no, my life didn't turn out the way I thought it would after the breakup.

In a lot of ways, it turned out better than I ever thought possible. I just wish I could go back and tell the version of me crying on the floor in December that she was going to make it.

Exam is less than a week out

Hey everyone,

I’m taking my SIE this coming Thursday (June 4th) and the anxiety is officially kicking in. I started Pass Perfect about 2.5 weeks ago, but I’m only just now starting Chapter 12 out of 16.

I’ve been moving incredibly slow because I have a bad habit of hand-writing everything down to retain information. I think I definitely hurt myself doing this because it’s taking up way too much time, and now I’m officially in the crunch-time zone.

My current stats:

Course Completion: 71% (Starting Chapter 12)
Total Average Score: 79%

I work a grueling 6 AM – 5 PM schedule Saturday through Monday, but I called off work on Tuesday to give myself a full day of uninterrupted studying, followed by Wednesday before the exam.

Am I in an okay standing right now with a 79% average on Pass Perfect? How should I pivot my study strategy to wrap up these final 4 chapters over the next few days without getting bogged down in my notebook? Any advice on how to structure my Tuesday/Wednesday to transition into final practice exams would be a lifesaver.

Thank you!

Exam is on the 4th

I recently got hired by a big brokerage firm, but my employment is contingent on passing the SIE, Series 7, and Series 63. So no pressure

I originally bought Achievable to study, but then my company provided us with the CeriFi course. Has anyone here used CeriFi before? If so, how did you like it and did it prepare you well for the actual exam?

Right now I’m about 40% done with the course, and my SIE exam is scheduled for June 4th. I’m starting to stress a little about whether I have enough time to realistically pass.

For those who’ve already taken it:

  • What sections/topics should I focus on the MOST?
  • What showed up heavily on your exam?
  • Did CeriFi prepare you enough, or should I supplement with other materials/practice tests?

Just trying to study as efficiently as possible from here on out. Any advice is appreciated.

Today marks 4 weeks of no contact and it hasn’t gotten any easier. I feel like I’m doing everything people say you’re supposed to do to move on. I’ve been in therapy for 5 months, I’ve been consistent at the gym and lost 20 pounds, I’ve been taking care of myself, going out, trying new things, even studying for my Series exams to start a new career

But none of it has touched this.

He’s still on my mind from the moment I wake up to the moment I fall asleep. He’s in almost all of my dreams. It’s like no matter how much I try to move forward, my mind just pulls me right back to him.

And what hurts the most is knowing he’s probably just… living his life. Like nothing happened. Like what we had didn’t matter. Like everything we were building together just disappeared without a second thought.

I don’t understand how someone can do that. Especially him.

I loved him so deeply. I still do. This was the first time I fully gave myself to someone without holding back. I really believed he was my person, my future husband, my end game. And now it’s like I’m left holding all of it alone, trying to make sense of something that doesn’t make sense anymore.

I’m so angry. I’m so hurt. And honestly, I don’t know how to keep going like this.

Part of me really wants to break no contact today just to feel something… but I know I’ll just get rejected again. So I’m just going to have to go through the rest of my life wondering of the what ifs

How do you guys actually get through it? Because right now it feels like no matter what I do, I’m stuck here and I don’t want to be anymore

Cudi did his thing tonight, no question.

But M.I.A… yeah, that set was rough. She lost the crowd almost instantly, and the whole thing felt hella scattered. Like she was just trying to run the clock out. No flow, no real direction, just kind of all over the place.

I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because I’ve seen her before at It Feels Like Heaven and thought maybe it was just an off night, but after this? Idk, it feels like that’s just her.

And the dancers… what was going on there? No clear choreography, just chaos across the stage. Also wtf were they holding ? Gold foil table cloths?

Honestly, she would’ve made way more sense as the opener. Lowkey would’ve swapped her out for Kreayshawn and called it a night.
