bloomberg.comCan’t change my profile location - help!
For a long time I’ve been meaning to start posting videos for TikTok shop and see where it goes as a side hustle. I went to do it this weekend but for some reason my account still says I’m in Canada even though I moved to the US 2.5 years ago.
When I went to change it I got this message saying:
“Cannot update region
To update account region, you need to meet the following requirements
- You recently used TikTok in United States of America for at least 60 days
• You wait for the data maintenance to be completed in the region you are currently located or intend to change to
- You have no Creator Marketplace account linked to your current region”
Is this normal? I put in a support ticket to try and help me but that could take forever.
Has anyone else had trouble with this?
Do I need to start a new account based in the US?
Seems weird you can’t change your location on your profile. Also I don’t have any creator marketplace account attached to it.
Meta’s free cash flow fell from $8.5B to $784M in a year while quarterly AI infrastructure spend hit $31B.
Revenue $60.80B, up 28%. Capex $31.08B in the quarter. Free cash flow $784M, down from $8.55B a year ago. Meta doesn’t break out an AI-only capex line but attributes the jump to the datacenter buildout. They also issued $24.9B in new debt, pushing long-term debt to $83.7B from $58.7B in December.
Capex was 23.8% of revenue in 2024, 35.9% in 2025, and 2026 guidance puts it near half. The ad business is funding compute now, and debt is covering the rest.
Caveats on the chart: 2026 is guidance against an estimated denominator, since Meta guides quarterly revenue but not annual, and I’m using capex including finance leases, which is what Meta’s guidance uses. CreditSights independently puts Meta at ~54% of sales for 2026, so the band looks about right.
When does a buildout stop being an investment and start being a subsidy? Meta expects 2026 operating income above 2025, so by that measure it’s working. But free cash flow down 91% while debt climbs $25B usually comes right before either a payoff or a retreat. I don’t know which.
85 Flock Surveillance Camera Contracts In 28 States Canceled - LAPD Also Won't Renew Their Contract
The LAPD, the third-largest police force in the country, let its Flock contract expire on July 11, and cited civil liberties and privacy concerns rather than cost. Between August 2021 and May 2026, 82 Flock contracts were terminated across 28 states, with 39 of those in the first five months of 2026 alone.
Video vs Audio
Wondering how many people only listen to podcasts vs watch the video on YouTube, Spotify and now Apple?
Audio is definitely a more passive form that you can do while driving, working out, cleaning the house, while video likely creates more of a connection since you can actually see mannerisms, etc.
Or are some show better for audio and some better for video?
Love to hear what your go to is, which shows, and why!

cbsnews.comInvestor CRM
Built my own investor CRM for my holdco. Worth productising or is this space already too crowded?
I run a holdco with a few companies under it, each raising on its own timeline. Seperate investors, seperate data rooms, nobody sees anyone else’s.
So I built it. Pipeline stages, a room per investor, tracking on who opened what and when, document permissions per room.
Works for what I need. But theres already a dozen tools doing this so I’m not sure theres a reason for another one. Worth turning into something other people can use, or am I just rebuilding what already exists?
What is China’s Kimi K3 and why is the US so rattled by it? | CNN Business

The White House tech chief Michael Kratsios says Moonshot ran a covert distillation platform against Anthropic's Claude Fable 5 and obtained banned Nvidia GB300 (Blackwell) servers via infrastructure in Thailand. Treasury Secretary Bessent floated sanctions and an Entity List designation. Kimi K3 currently ranks #1 in Frontend Code Arena at ~40% below flagship US pricing; weights publish Monday, after which a ban can't be undone.
My niece thinks this is AI. The artifact on Effects Crew t-shirt throws me off. Is this AI?
The artifact on Effects Crew t-shirt looks weird to me. It is from "Behind The Scenes Filming Tidal Wave Disaster Movie" on Instagram. Source: https://www.instagram.com/p/Dau3fsODTbp/
