Ruined my 2022 Rubicon media screen after a beach day + car wash. Radio/Bluetooth/Display dead. Help!

Hey everyone,
I think I messed up and need some advice/troubleshooting steps.

Took my 2022 Wrangler Rubicon to the beach, drove along the shore with the doors off, and inevitably a good amount of sea spray/water got inside. Surprisingly, everything was working completely fine right after the beach.

The issue started after I took it to a self-serve hand car wash to clean it out. I used the handheld sprayer with soap and water, and right after that, the media screen completely died.

Current Symptoms:

Dead: Center display screen, radio, and Bluetooth are completely non-responsive.

Working: The physical climate control buttons (AC, auto, auto-off, etc.) right below the screen still work fine.

I’m assuming water finally breached the dash or the back of the head unit during the spray down.

Has anyone experienced this specific issue or have any ideas on what to check first?

Is there a specific fuse or relay I should pull first to check if it just popped?

If the screen is fried, am I looking at replacing just the glass, the whole Uconnect head unit, or could it be a wiring harness issue?

Any chance letting it dry out completely with a fan will bring it back to life, or is it likely a lost cause?

Stored low-voltage codes under factory warranty: Will Jeep refund the diag fee?

Hey everyone,
Recently bought a used Wrangler with active factory warranty. Third-party inspection found multiple stored low-voltage codes across modules, but the main 12V battery tested in excellent health.
I suspect it's the infamous ESS aux battery failing or a loose fuse array causing a voltage drop.
I’m taking it to a Jeep dealer soon and have two quick questions:

  1. Diagnostic Fee: The dealer mentions a upfront diag fee. If the root cause is a covered warranty part (like the aux battery/electrical defect), does Jeep completely refund this fee?
  2. Advice: Any tips on how to word the service request so they don't try to dismiss it as a standard wear-and-tear battery issue?
    Thanks!

Job offer gen ai engineer

Hey! My recruiter sent me last friday that the company has decided to move forward with an offer.
We spoke on Monday and she mentioned Deloitte is upgrading their hr system so she is unable to process an offer and she is having to get approvals manually so it will take some time.
I sent her a follow up this morning but haven’t heard back the whole day.
Any suggestions?
