No but like, seriously. I’ve been seeing a shit ton of content claiming that Vorts are behind every single act of rebellion in Combine territory and that they should all be wiped out. Why cant we all just live together? Why do we have to hate eachother because of our species?

Mission: Prevent crime and disorder.
Result: Mixed
Depending on the server, crime might be either comically high up or rare.

Approval: Police power relies on public approval.
Result: Failed
Most civilians hate the police… Wonder why?

Cooperation: Secure public cooperation to maintain lawfulness.
Result: Failed
No cooperation with civilians whatsoever, everyone is a potential threat to the eyes of police roleplayers.

Force: Public cooperation decreases with the need for physical force.
Result: Extreme Failure
Use of tasers and handcuffs on detainees, cooperative or not, use of firearms on unarmed fleeing suspects, use of firearms when a taser fails.

Impartiality: Serve the law impartially, not by pandering to opinion.
Result: Failed
Will try to use the law to benefit them 24/7, will use excuses like “obstructing an officer” on people standing at a safe distance from a crime scene and simply watching.

Last Resort: Use force only when persuasion is insufficient.
Result: Extreme Failure
Use of firearms and non-lethals on sight, won’t bother with talking, immediate arrest upon seeing a suspect without bothering to talk to them first.

Community: Police are the public, and the public are the police.
Result: Extreme Failure
Self-explanatory, most cops see themselves as “sheepdogs protecting the sheep from wolves”, forgetting that an officer is no different than a civilian.

Judiciary: Police must not usurp judicial powers of guilt or punishment.
Result: Extreme Failure
Will usually “roleplay” a booking by just skipping the police station, head to the prison, take their mugshot and post it on a Discord, and sentence them to jail time without bothering with giving them a phonecall or a holding cell in the PD.

Efficiency: Measured by the absence of crime, not police activity.
Result: Extreme Failure
Police officers on every street corner.
