How firm should a base innerspring layer be?

I’m a side sleeper. My plan is:
Base layer: 8 inch simple innerspring medium or medium-firm
Transition layer: 5cm high density polyurethane foam
Top: plush down / down alternative topper (I like the pillow top feel)

Not looking for specific recommendations because I don’t live in the US or any other country where you can easily get a lot of the well known brands. My basic question is what is ideal for my base layer? Should I stick with firm or medium?

Strange to me how many people expect me to plan my lifestyle around an imaginary future life partner

I’m 34f and about to move into the studio apartment, where I will to my great delight, be living alone for the third time in my life. It’s got its pros and cons but overall, I think it’s the right choice for me and my cats. I’m shopping for a mattress and thinking of just getting a full mattress because it’s big enough for me to stretch out and cuddle with my cats but a lot of people that I know are trying to encourage me to get a queen size mattress so that there will be room for my partner if and when I meet someone. At this point I’ve been single for more than four years and I’m not even dating. I just wanna get to bed that’s right for me whether that’s a full-size or a queen size. Not because of some hypothetical future partner that will apparently justify a bigger bed. I just don’t understand this logic. I’m not against meeting someone, but I also just don’t wanna plan my whole life around it. And I feel like a lot of my family members don’t really get that.

I made a calanit (red anemone) ring - Israel’s national flower

Red carnelian gemstone with metallic glass seed beads with a durable coating. It’s strung on double thread sturdy elastic. Super comfy! I’m planning to make a series of Israeli wildflowers for every month of the year.

Is it possible to even turn a sustainable profit with products that take 1-2 hrs to make??

With the cost of booth fees it seems like you have to sell things that take under an hour in order to charge low enough and make enough sales per day. I make bead jewelry that takes between 45 minutes for a smaller project and 2 hour and 15 minutes for a larger project. After packaging and mostly booth fees, I calculated I’d need to charge $50 for a small beaded ring in order to make my wage, and $60-90 to make any profit margin. Which feels like far too much for a small beaded product. But I also don’t feel like 45 minutes is a crazy amount of time for these things? How do yall offset the cost of booth fees?? Is everyone making things in 20 minutes?

The real reason why Hughes is universally beloved: he saw people for who they truly are

I think there’s a misconception about Hughes that what makes him such an attractive character is that he he’s a family man or that he’s always there for people and those are a great qualities. Don’t get me wrong. But I think that there’s a quality to use that runs deep deeper than those surface descriptors. And that quality comes to light in this moment when he looks at Envy and immediately knows. It’s the same quality that made him believe in Mustang from the very beginning when he was just a foot soldier. The same quality that makes him open his home to Winry and the boys who have no parents of their own. He sees past people’s exterior. He sees their potential. Their wounds. And he’s able to hold it all without draining himself, in fact his own sunshiney demeanor is contagious even to the most cynical. His existence threatens Envy’s power because he sees right through it in an instant it doesn’t work on him. And I think that’s why Envy had to be the one to kill him because Envy represents the absence of authenticity, and Hughes was authenticity in its purest form. And what would be more jealous of than that?

Best needles for elastic + 15/0 seed beads and multiple passes?

Basically I’ve been using big eye needles but they don’t last me very long, they break in half after a while or they loosen up. I work with miyuki 15/0s (thinking of switching to Toho since I heard the holes are bigger) and regularly pass through twice with 0.5 Stretch Magic (sometimes with wire, but I don’t really need a needle for that). It’s a bit of a struggle and if the hole is smaller than usual the cord breaks where the needle holds it. Looking for needle recommendations specifically for elastic cord. Keep in mind most beading needles are not compatible with elastic cord (trust me I have tried to pass stretch magic through those eyes in every manner possible but no luck).
