dupe for dvn stagnant water?

hey y'all, i recently found out about death valley nails possibly having maga ties. as a result, i'm no longer interested in supporting them. however, i've had my eye on this shade for months, and i'm desperate for a dupe. the photo is from their website. it's a spring green jelly with matte green glitter of various sizes and a pink iridescent shimmer. i want it so bad, i'd even buy some loose glitter and mix up a dupe myself it i could find a close enough match. all suggestions welcome!

Can I challenge a write up?

I'm looking for advice about something that happened recently with my GM. I was called into the back office with him and another manager to discuss a policy violation. Apparently I had two negative reviews mentioning me. He was holding two pieces of paper in his hand that had multiple sentences blacked out with sharpie. I asked why they were censored. He said he doesn't know, and that corporate gave them to him that way. It was clearly a lie, because you could see the sharpie bleeding through the back of the paper. He had obviously just printed them and did it himself. I don't know why he would lie about that.

I asked what the reviews said. He vaguely summarized them, but wouldn't read them to me. I asked repeatedly if I could read them myself, but he just kept saying he'd print me a copy after I sign the write up. Once I signed, it took him ten minutes to print me one of the reviews. I asked for the other one, which took him another ten minutes to print and deliver. These ones looked completely different than the ones he had. It looked like he copied and pasted the contents into a word doc and printed it that way. There was no censoring on the copies I was given. I have no way of knowing if it was even the same content. Both of the reviews were nonsense which I could have explained if I had been given a chance to tell my side of the story.

I just want to know if there's a way I can dispute a write up. I feel that I was pressured to sign the paperwork without being given any information as to why I was actually in trouble. My GM also didn't explain what the paperwork actually means or what the consequences were. Overall the situation was really shady. I'm wondering if I should escalate it with the ethics line or something. Any advice appreciated.

backpay for delayed raise?

hey all, i have an odd situation. i've been with the company for three years and i make less than a dollar above minimum. last year, my gm promised me a dollar raise, but said he couldn't apply it yet since i'm on a probationary period for tardies. he said he doesn't know when the probationary period ends. i asked him about it several times over several months, and he just kept saying he had to look into it. about a month ago, he said the probation is over, and he'll look into the raise. i still haven't heard anything. i'm gonna ask him about it again, but i wonder; would i qualify for any back pay? it's been about a year since i was promised the raise. how would i go about initiating that process, if it's even possible? thanks.

[Routine help] managing oily acne prone skin in the summer

hi all, i have oily acne prone skin and it's always been pretty hard to manage. it's getting really hot where i live, and my face is becoming an oil slick again. i'm looking to try something different this summer.

my current routine is just washing my face morning and night with target brand 2% salicylic acid wash, then moisturizing with the cerave daily moisturizing lotion. very basic because i have super sensitive skin (eczema + fragrance allergy) and i'm broke af.

i was considering two options to manage my oily skin this summer;

  1. add an additional face wash in the middle of the day, not using salicylic acid but a more gentle cleanser. probably the cetaphil daily facial cleanser.

  2. swap out my moisturizer for something even more lightweight, maybe a gel formula. problem is it's hard to find fragrance free gel moisturizer that's not crazy expensive, so i would be very open to product suggestions that are cheap.

please let me know which is a better option and if you have any suggestions!!

[TOMT] [late 2010s-2020s] movie about following an elaborate conspiracy to find a girl

i saw this movie a few years ago that i remember very vividly, but it had an unmemorable title and i can't find it anywhere. the main character is this kinda dweeby unremarkable guy who finds himself at some sort of fancy nightclub, where he meets a girl. he has a brief exchange with her, and she tells him to meet her somewhere later, but it doesn't work out. he ends up following a series of increasingly elaborate clues trying to find her.

he starts deciphering secret messages in music, which leads him to meeting an old man who plays a piano in a secret location. the old man tells him that he's uncovered a grand conspiracy involving the richest people in the world, and that all the music on the radio is full of secret messages. he says he's written all the most popular songs over the last several decades. the old man gives him another clue.

at this point i think the guy has an ayahuasca trip. then he discovers an elaborate underground tunnel system that leads him to a network of bunkers meant for surviving the apocalypse. he finds the girl in a bunker, along with several other girls and a guy. they tell him they're a doomsday cult, and they're sealing themselves in the bunker to get drunk and reproduce. he asks the girl to come with him instead, but she's disinterested. that's how it ends.

does this ring any bells? i remember really liking the movie for the surrealism. the piano man scene was particularly off putting. thanks in advance!
