Have people ever considered this?
It’s obvious that the Zodiac name and logo is most likely completely taken from the watch brand. Have anybody ever considered someone working for the watch brand itself to be zodiac?
First theory: The person would have known that using both the brand’s name and logo would attract a lot of attention to the brand and could potentially increase sales. Therefore, they may have intentionally used the name and logo as a kind of advertisement.
Second theory: When the killer needed a name and logo for himself, he probably wouldn’t simply look down at his wrist and completely copy the design of his watch. I have another explanation: perhaps the killer had worked, or was working, for the brand, meaning it played a much bigger role in his life than simply being the brand of his watch.
As we all know, the Zodiac was a very unusual killer who seemed to enjoy teasing the police. Maybe he simply used the logo and name from his workplace, thinking that nobody would think much of it.
I know this this highly unlikely and it has probably already been investigated, so please don’t come after me in the comments, I was just sharing a thought.
