What helps

I’m 17 days post dissolve. burning symptoms everywhere. went to the er it’s so bad. They don’t know anything about filler or dissolver so just sent me home. I literally don’t know what to do, where to turn. Or what I can do to try to prevent further damage. I’m so scared. I had no choice but to dissolve because filler was compressing a blood vessel

Doctors are all dismissive

I’m so depressed. had dissolving session due to urgent blocked blood vessel, had no choice but to dissolve. now two weeks later having full systematic reaction. burning pain all over, feels like I’m being burned by a stove top. tingling feelings and anything brushing against my skin feels like knIves. I’ve brought it up to my various doctors and all have totally dismissed my concerns. I don’t even know what to do at this point. on top of that I still have a big lump of filler in my face that didn’t dissolve so it looks bad on top of feeling bad all over. im so scared idk what to do

Same complications but from filler

hi all. I’m new to this group and after reading through story after story I had to share mine (that is ongoing) about 2.5 years ago I got filler injected on the side of my nose to balance it out. around 3-4 months after I began to have body wide muscle twitches I never got any definite diagnosis explaining this .I started to have numbness and prickling in my lower legs, arms, wrists and hands. I started experiencing dry eyes which has especially gotten worse this year. I began having muscle aches months after that, all over. it would bilaterally effect me on one area for a month then it would move to a different part of my body for a month. ive had countless neurology visits, dermatology, rheumatology and have not been able to figure out the cause. I’ve broken out into crazy unexplainable rashes across my face, neck and chest. a lot of this group I’m seeing is having these symptoms after dissolving, has anyone like me had them after the filler itself?

Xiidra

Newly diagnosed with moderate dry eye. Everytime I’ve gone to the eye doctor I’ve been told I have dry eye but never had any actual discomfort til the last few months where my eyes just feel like the desert. I’m sure my glands aren’t producing enough lubrication. It’s like I blink and it’s totally dry, no relief or lubrication happening. My doctor just put me on xiidra, the last few months I’ve been using systane eye drops throughout the day and warm eye compress and special wipes to clean my eyelids. I was always wearing contacts but have switched to my glasses while this has been going on. My eyes honestly feel even more dry and uncomfortable without my contacts :/

Have you had success with xiidra? How long for results for you? I started last night. Thankfully I have none of the burning or stinging just the bad taste in my mouth.

Cat Seroma?

My female fixed cat 9yo had very major surgery recently, she is on day 13 post op and has been in great spirits, eating drinking ect. I’ve had her in a onesie and blocked off into a small room with nothing to jump on for the last 13 days. She’s developed since the first few days a noticeable squishy buldge around her internal sutures. Never any redness, oozing, pain when touching or lethargy. Vet said it might be Seroma. It’s been hard to find further info online to ease my nerves because most surgery pics are from spays and this is obviously a lot larger of an incision from that. But has anyone had something similar with their cat? I’m doing warm compresses with a wash cloth now as advised. How long did it take to go away if so? I feel bad having to keep her locked away from everything for so long but obviously want her to heal properly

cat IBD or lymphoma

So my 9yr old cat had major surgery last week to remove a huge mass on her liver. She had been throwing up pretty frequent hairballs and food and that’s what led us to the vet and imaging to discover that. They biopsied the mass, and parts of her stomach and small intestine during surgery. The mass came back as a benign cyst and her stomach, and small intestine biopsies all showed mild-moderate types of inflammation. My surgeon called and said that means she either has IBD or small cell lymphoma of the digestive tract. She said I could do this further test called PARR to further inspect the biopsies for lymphoma however she said these aren’t fully accurate and can sometimes give false positives and false negatives because they look so similar so that’s rather annoying. I paid $600 for it to be done anyways and it can take weeks to come back. Has anyone been in a similar situation? For now we have have her on mostly prescription hills z/d dry food which she likes but I also have her on some various cat broths to try to get extra moisture because she’s not a big water drinker and she won’t eat her prescription wet food. She’s on maropitant citrate which I’m trying to ween her off of but she’s already back to puking up regular hairballs that she can’t digest. Though the medicine has stopped pretty much all other vomiting. Pls let me know what I can do to help her.

for now she’s at a healthy weight and in good spirits but am nervous about her puking and losing weight as soon as I get her fully off the maropitant citrate as I know that’s just masking the underlying issue. The vet said we need to trial food before moving to steroids for now.

Cat liver tumor/mass

14 days ago I took my 9 year old cat into the vet because she had been puking up a lot of her food as of recently and I wanted to see what was up. They did an xray of her tummy and bloodwork. Both normal. They told me to get an ultrasound to see if she had something further going on like IBD. I’m able to get the ultrasound 2 days later.

Ultrasound shows her tummy to be fine, maybe a little inflamed but incidentally finds a huge mass on her liver that is pushing on her stomach and likely the cause of the vomiting. The vet says this NEEDS surgical intervention because it may burst, be cancerous ect. She says it likely won’t be able to be fully removed because how large it is (6x7cm) they also do a ct scan of her lungs to see if anything is going on there but that comes back clear

I’m able to get her in to see a specialty vet with a surgical team 3 days after her ultrasound. I’m able to speak with the surgeon and she says the same as the previous vet essentially that her mass is huge and needs to come out via exploratory surgery where they will biopsy surrounding organs and try to remove any or all of the mass if possible. She says my cats health is otherwise strong and now would be the time to do surgery if we can. They tell me surgery is $8k-10k. I decide I will do it and worry about the money on my credit card later. they can get her in for surgery just 4 days later.

Surgery day and I’m a huge wreck. I keep imagining her dying on the table. Just 2 hours after dropping her off they call to let me know they were able to remove the entire mass and that she’s waking up from anesthesia already trying to escape the vets office (good news) her gallbladder had to be removed in the process as it was attached too much to the mass as well.

The next morning I pick her up. She’s so so scared and was refusing to eat while at the vet hospital. I cleared out a bedroom at my house and made it safe so she can relax but not have anything to jump on. She immediately eats as soon as she’s home.

Now two weeks post going to the vet initially to investigate the vomiting she’s sleeping in my lap. She is recovering so well and truly hates that she needs to be off limit to the rest of the house for around another 9 days to ensure her incision is healed enough. I should be hearing back in the next week about the biopsy results and I’m so beyond nervous. This is one of my first pets I’ve ever had (the other is my oldest cat who is 13 and thriving) and have I know that illness is inevitable especially as they age but I’m just experiencing it for the first time and it’s made me sick with anxiety about the whole thing

Cat not drinking

My cat had pretty major surgery 3 days ago and is eating and behaving totally normally but has no interest in water. She barely peed the first day and is now going a couple times a day which is a good sign. She used to be a water fiend. I’m not sure if her just feeling icky after surgery has her only wanting to eat the stinkiest smelling foods or what but wanted any help in getting her more hydration. I have cat specific broths that are a bit creamy and am feeding her mostly just all wet food and wet treats right now to supplement her not drinking water alone. I know cats get a lot of their water from food but my vet wants to transition to getting her back on her prescription diet food which is dry. If anyone has any ideas to get her more interested in water let me know or if it’ll just take a few more days of recovery. She has a nice water fountain that she’s always liked in her recovery room but barely even looks at the thing and she lets me mix a little bit of water in with her food but If it’s a little too much water she is offended and doesn’t wanna eat the food at all 🙃 I’ve tried low sodium chicken broth per her vets advice and she has zero interest
