I recently stayed at a Vrbo which required a pre-paid refundable $1500 deposit. I don’t use Vrbo very often, and stupidly thought it would just be a hold on my card, similar to what hotels do, but it was taken out of my account when I paid for the stay. I checked out Sunday, and inquired when I’d be receiving my deposit back. On Monday, the host messaged that it was set to refund yesterday (Sunday) but nothing has gone back onto my card, as of Tuesday. Has anyone dealt with this before? I’ve come to understand this pre-paid deposit doesn’t seem to be the norm. Also not sure if it just takes a few days for the refund to go through? I’m not sure if I should be taking this to Vrbo yet. Thanks in advance.
