Didn't know Toscano sold their pre-cooked pizza bases & fresh mozarella online. Made a roasted veggie pizza sandwich using it. Got three 9 inch bases for Rs. 170. Reminded me of covid days when restaurants were selling their pantry goods, that needs to make a comeback!
My regular order everytime I visit a Social- Chilli Butter Garlic Momo, Prawn Toast & Dum Biryani. Visited Social Malad for the first time and the service was pathetic, food took so long to arrive and we had to keep reminding them about dish and cutlery. Entire staff looked disinterested.
Picked this up from the Biswa Bangla store at Kolkata Airport and I think it's one of the best ghees I've had till date!! They are clearing stock as BB is apparently getting rebranded so got a small discount as well!
Pesto burrata pasta bowl at My Oh My, Andheri. Been wanting to try it for the longest but what a bummer. A delicious garlic bread bowl marred by absolutely tasteless pasta in it, it didn't even have salt. Even hospital food tastes better than this. A stiff burrata as well & they sell this for ₹900!
Was craving for a restaurant style chimney soup (hot pot) I used to love as a kid so tried recreating it at home. The goodness of giant river prawn, chicken, greens and egg & brothy noodles, perfect for the monsoon weather today!
Was craving for some Eau Chew chimney soup so tried making something similar at home with the goodness of golda chingri, chicken, egg and greens and brothy noodles with a humble induction replacing chimney at the table for the hot boiling effect. 😋
CC1 to Karunamoyee via Central Park- My most favorite stretch of Kolkata Metro to ride on. So much greenery and breather for the eyes. Salt Lake is love! ♥️
The joy of baajaar hopping with baba early morning & finding a really good bhetki at the local market and making a creamy orange pan fried fish with veggies. The fish was sooo fresh & tasty. 🤤 I find Nagerbazar market so much better than the more popular Dumdum Market.
Tried my usual photo walk around North Kolkata in taak faata gorom and quickly ran inside a cozy cafe called Lamprini run by an NGO inside an art deco building in Shovabazar. Food was good, managed some clicks while passing by Noti Binodini's house & some football frenzy in the bylanes of Fariapukur
Walking through silent clean lanes of Kasba on a cloudy Sunday afternoon, randomly entering a small cafe and eating crumb fried bhetki fish & chips made right in front of you! First day of trip to Kolkata couldn't have started on a more delicious note!
