Found at goodwill in the box of stuff I was dropping off at goodwill…

Wife asked me to drop a box off at goodwill. I had just put the box on the cart at the drop off and saw this flute. Sterling silver head joint!!! Sorry thrifters, this one is coming back home. Sadly the only thing I found at Goodwill today was in the box I was dropping off.

Wife gave me a box of stuff to take to goodwill.

$163 worth of metal almost got dumped at goodwill. Head joint is sterling. Rest seems to be plated.

Next steps water remediation?

AC condensation line backed up and the auto shutoff didn’t engage. didn’t notice until it was under a good portion of our floors.

I pulled up the LVP everywhere there was water, soaked up the water and turned on the fans and dehumidifier before leaving town for a week. Friend will empty dehumidifier periodically.

didn’t see any mold. Slight musty smell. I was careful removing and drying out the old LVP. Has rubber backing and didn’t seem capable of absorbing water. Broke several, but most are intact.

Can I reuse the LVP? What should I do to treat the concrete floor? Do I need to treat the LVP? Anyone deal with water issues they caught before it turned moldy? Any pointers?

When to prune the end on this?

My first cutting finally crested the top of my trellis. Am I supposed to prune the end to get it to send out new growth?

How to boost kids credit score.

I didn’t get a credit card until I was like 32 because I didn’t fully grasp how much they can help build credit history, etc. my credit score was mid 700s when I bought a house, but up to 810 range now. I use it for most purchases where there’s no fee and pay it off every week or so. I’ve never carried a balance.

I’ve heard you can add your kid as an authorized user to a card and that will give them a head start on building credit history. I only have one card and I’ve been steadily increasing the limit on that. My kid is 2 right now and I would never give her access to a $35,000 line of credit even when she got old enough where I might give her an emergency credit card.

Should I sign up for another card for this purpose (I’ve been thinking of getting another card to maximize cash back categories), add her to the existing card, or just not worry about it?
