DIAL-A-PHISH (dialaphish.com)

I had made a similar project for the Deadhead community and the phish.in archive is so easily accesible.

Working out kinks, open to feedback.

Just wanted a tool that makes it easy to load from any phone or browser to listen to or fav or even download any show.

Type or search your favorite show date, or hit random!

Local Tattoo Recommendations

Hey everyone,

I’m posting on behalf of my wife, her sister, and their mother. They are looking to get a tattoo together and want to get them done all at the same time.

Because of that, we're trying to find a local shop that could accommodate a group booking and has three artists available to jump in at once.

The plan is for all three of them to get the exact same flower, but each person wants a completely different style for theirs (like fine line, traditional, watercolor, etc.). We're hoping to find a spot with a diverse crew of artists who can deliver those different looks during the same session.

They don't need a strictly female-only shop, but they’d love a welcoming, comfortable vibe. If anyone knows of a female-owned or female-friendly shop, or just a solid spot in the area with great artists who could coordinate something like this, I'd appreciate the recommendations!

Let me know if you’ve had any great experiences with group bookings around town.

Thanks in advance!

It's the Little Things, Zion National Park, Utah: Coalpits Wash Trail & Claret Cup Cactus

I love a gorgeous landscape views, but sometimes it's the little things that stop you in your tracks. Found this stunning Claret Cup Cactus in bloom along the Coalpits Wash Trail in Zion National Park, Utah. A tiny burst of fire-red color.

I run/dance at all the shows i attend and have for a while now, averaging about 15 miles per show. When I realized I would be seeing 6 shows (3 Phish and 3 after shows at Brooklyn Bowl) I also realized that meant over 3 days with shows and moving between locations I was going to get very close to 100 miles. I began training, doing about 12 miles daily to get ready for the attempt.

Running in place for me is actually the easier part. Just like spinners, after only about 10 minutes I enter a trance-like mindset where the music fuels me and I lose a sense of self. The issue is my feeble attempt to be mindful of everyone else around me.

Thank you to the entire floor of the Sphere for tolerating me, encouraging me, helping me, and allowing me to accomplish this very personal feat. There were so many kind strangers that made space for me, gave me supplies and gifts, and shared stories with me that kept my spirits and energy up. The Phish community was so welcoming of this effort that it really blew me away. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

I have included images of my experience and stats for what took place from Thursday afternoon to Sunday early AM (thanks Disco Biscuits for that super late last set that helped me reach my goal) but was essentially 62ish hours of clock time and roughly 25 hours of actual physical effort. This was also such a special weekend because I had just seen David Byrne across the street from the Sphere at Caesars Coliseum on Monday and danced so hard I hurt my leg and thought I might have to abandon the Phish attempt. But the energy of Phish and then getting to merge into the after-show on Thursday night with Pink Talking Fish just felt like the universe telling me I had to make this run happen.

After night one and into the early AM I had pushed over 25 miles and the only real issue was a sharp Achilles and calf pain in my right leg. Thank god for a massuse at the LINQ Spa for the leg massage, and for CVS having lidocaine patches and tape for my legs. Night two the universe decided to heal my leg and I was able to push hard nights 2 and 3. From each night there were so many random strangers that helped me keep going. To everyone that encouraged me as I ran the Strip between shows, thank you. To those who came to check in between sets, your convos in the water line made it all worth it.

A few people I only got to know by first name but without you this would not have been possible. To the yellow shirt dude center stage night two, thanks for the bana/buff you saved my sweaty face. To Heather, for literally being the light and joy of my floor and keeping it funky and danceable. Paula for always literally having my back as the race bib I wore kept sweating off my back. Your constant back rub kept me anchored and going. To the neon Wynn shirt couple and your kind words, thank you for seeing my efforts and what I was trying to accomplish. To the whole Idaho/Utah group on night 2 and specifically Jason and Desiree for keeping the laughs coming, to Redbull Todd and Tahoe Tim, you made night 1 magical and I never expected to meet such kindred spirits. To the after-show crew at Brooklyn Bowl, Turtle, Nick, B(v)rad, Los, and all you other wooks, thank you. And to Disco Biscuits and Pink Talking Fish, your fast paces helped me hit my miles. To my crew Jacob, Phil, and Brandi, yall were the best and my rock. To the hippie ski kid from Utah that got in on a miracle, you are the reason I pushed through "What's Going Through Your Mind," it was one of my hardest sprints of the 3 days. And lastly to Ryan. Ryan, our chat on night 3 about your sister and her ultramarathon runs... I will never see you again and will never meet your sister, but your story and her spirit are the reason I had a negative split on night 3 (ran faster and more on night 3 than all the rest). Please tell her thank you.

I passed out hundreds of stickers and met hundreds of people. When I left the Disco Biscuits show I realized I was 5 miles short of 100. Luckily for me the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign was exactly 6 miles round trip from Brooklyn Bowl. It was amazing to catch an epic culminating sunrise shot as I jogged from the show to the sign. I cried and remembered how beautiful and short all of this is.

Sorry to any people that i freaked out, bothered, or thought I was insane (who isnt at a Phish show) thanks for making space for me and thanks for tolerating me.

The music is our fuel. I think we should all be dance running at shows. If you have never tried it, you might just like it.  And lastly to Phish, thanks for letting me hang out with a bunch of other neurodivergent people for 3 days, it was the best!
