4th Baby due any day now!

I really wanted to get my out of control room tidied up before we added our 4th baby. I have posted here quite a few times, where I mentioned I homeschool, garden, have a 2 year old, and live with my in-laws so my room becomes a massive dumping ground for clutter from the main living space. This time I really worked on deep cleaning, and decluttering, I filled 4 or 5 big trash bags, and filled two boxes of stuff to donate.

My goal is to spend a week in bed to heal after the new baby is born and I wanted it to feel more restful. I have a little more to go, the top of my dresser (the brown one) the top of the table, and that bin of junk on the floor. Luckily all those fireworks will be gone tonight :)

Kid independence skills

So we will be welcoming our 4th kiddo in about 4 weeks, we have a 9yo, 7yo, and 2yo. If you were going to focus on one skill before a new baby joins the family, what would it be. 9yo can do laundry, and make herself eggs. 9 and 7 can do basic chores sweep, wipe table, spray mop, tidy toys at an ok standard, with prompting. I am focusing on reminding them to clean up their dining spot after meals: dishes in dishwasher, wipe spot, sweep under chair. What skills did you wish you had taught way sooner?

Reading suggestions for teaching memorization

I am looking for some summer reading for myself. I teach memory work in my kid's homeschool co-op to first and second graders. I was wondering if anyone one had some suggestions for books or podcasts that would help me improve teaching this class and my kids at home. I am also interested in learning more about memory castles if anyone has suggestions there. Thanks in advance!

Avocado toasts with tomato, olive oil, flaky salt, and bagel seasoning, strawberries with sugar, cold pregnancy tea and mineral water. After a busy day of toddler minding and homeschooling while 30 weeks pregnant. Took my 2 big kids to an evening activity, while my husband stayed home with the two year old and fed him dinner. Husband went to bed early since he was sick, I got my big kids dinner to eat outside because they didn't want to come in, it was too nice outside. Put my two year old to bed, which was a long process since it was his second night in a big kid bed(my mil came up and ate dinner with my fil). Read bedtime stories to my big kids outside, still nice, and the TV was too loud. Sent big kids to bed, watered the garden because it hasn't rained in ages, put the chickens to bed, and came inside to a surprisingly quiet house, as my fil had gone downstairs much earlier then usual. So I got to take my time and dig around for what I wanted to eat. Usually dinner is a bit chaotic and stressful with too much "help" so it was nice to eat in peace and quiet.
