I miss the old wood paneling in the houses.

Even if it was just laminate it made me kind of feel cozy. Drywall everywhere just doesn't quite do it for me.

Most of the United States seems to be all the same.

I've been traveling a lot for work lately. And visiting a lot of different cities and the suburban areas around it. It's kind of all the same, for the most part that is. You have all the big corporate restaurants, the big corporate stores, the suburban neighborhoods, just kind of the same sprawl everywhere. I know there are distinct places that have their own feel but once you get out of those and it just feels kind of the same. I think this applies more to the suburban areas than anything. To those of you who travel quite often does it seem this way to you also? Edit: by the way I'm in my early 60s. It wasn't always this way. I remember when things were a lot more unique everywhere you went, even in the suburbs.

What is the dumbest question you personally have ever asked?

Mine is...Which Great Lake is Erie Pennsylvania on? As soon as I was told I said to myself "My God I'm stupid" I'm sure I have had many others. I find it amusing now but I am embarrassed those words came out of my mouth.

Brake bedding question

I have a Chevy bolt EV and my right front brake squeals. When I do brake bedding, ( five times repeatedly from approximately 50ish miles per hour down to a very hard 10ish in neutral so that the brakes engage then 10-15 minutes of driving around to cool the brakes off). The brakes stop squealing for about a month but then it comes back and I have to do the brake bedding again. Then it goes away for a while again. Any advice on this? PS I did jack the car up and it does not have any drag on the brake at all, just squealing, and I lubed up the pins and pads with break grease. Edit: Spelling

Thinking of painting my 3x white

As the title says I'm thinking about painting the outward facing portion of my 3x White to help mitigate the heat that it absorbs. This would be with a brush or foam brush and I would not paint over the lenses. In your opinion is this stupid or a good redneck engineering idea?

2020 Bolt premier I've had since new. My butt still hurts.

Any recommendations for seat pads? I'm 6'2 so I don't know if that'll come into play or not.

Also a big pet peeve of mine is when they move around when you get in the car and then kind of scoot yourself into the seat. I want one that stays put. Yeah this is a summertime only question because of the seat heaters.

As time goes on I find the movie "Idiocracy" less and less funny.

20 years ago or so when it came out I thought it was funny in a kind of stupid way, but for some reason as time goes on it just becomes a sad movie. I'm thinking the movie "Children of Men" May end up being the same way for me. Not in the funny to sad way but I think you know what I mean. The movie "Her" is also changing over time.

Edit: I'm thinking a lot of you missed the "funny in a kind of stupid way" part of my comment.

Are there any apps or websites where you can easily look up the price for charging? A map interface would be ideal. I'm thinking of something like GasBuddy but for EV's (I'm aware of time of use, subscription, and other variables, but I think it could be done).

I have Mazda Miata NC with a automatic transmission, but I believe I need some work done to it. (I believe it is a bad solenoid that needs changed) I've reached the end of my skill set. Can anyone recommend a shop that is able to do this and that is honest?
