Absolute Cinema

Sekiro is the first souls game that I actually finished, I tried playing Elden Ring as my first because that's what everyone keeps recommending to newcomers to the genre, but for some reason, it didn't really click with me, I played it for about 4 hours and dropped it, but something about Sekiro just hooked me, I was getting absolutely demolished at the beginning, but it was still fun, it was just the right amount of difficulty and the right amount of fairness.

The combat system in this game might be the best of all time, I've never felt so satisfied after beating a boss like I have in this game, it's a tight, rich and perfectly designed experience, I just love this game so much, to the point that I decided to get all of the achievements for it. I also find the story and the lore quite interesting, there aren't too many characters but the ones that are there are perfectly written and have a significant role in the story. I also LOVE the vibes and the atmosphere of this game, the Japanese setting mixed in with the mythology elements are such a great combination and it's amazing what they were able to come up with.

Easily in my top 5 games of all time and I genuinely think that my experience with this game will make it easier for me to get through the other games in the genre, I'm especially looking forward to Dark Souls Remastered and to give Elden Ring another chance, I know that they won't scratch the Sekiro itch, they're completely different games after all, but what I'm trying to say is that Sekiro opened the doors for me to the souls genre, I now understand why people love these games.

Speaking of scratching the itch, I'm open to recommendations, I already have Nine Sols which I heard is very similar to Sekiro, I also heard good things about Lies of P but it seems that it's closer to Bloodborne than it is to Sekiro but I still wanna give it a try someday.

SEKIRO IS PEAK!

#19 - Dead Space

Dead Space was an incredible experience, the atmosphere, the visuals, the exploration, the backtracking, the gameplay, the lore, this game seems to get everything right, 10/10, it's a shame that we probably won't see a remake of the second one.

Impossible mode is a little challenging but it's not as bad as it sounds, just take your time, save a lot, gather as much resources as you can, and always play it safe, you can also quit the game right before you die or the moment you die, if you're fast enough then the game won't count it as a death and you will be able to continue from your last save point.

FINALLY

You cannot believe how many runs it took me to finally achieve this, I died in ways that I didn't even know were possible, I was literally going insane, but I finally did it.

I am going INSANE

They don’t call it insane mode for nothing 💔

In Outlast 1 and Whistleblower it was pretty easy but in 2, oh boy, I was this close 🤏🏻, literally at the point where the cultists chase you in the mines right before you reunite with pregnant Lynn, but I ran out of batteries (trying to go for the Messiah achievement as well) so it was hard to navigate my way out, when one of the cultists grabbed me I thought it was over but somehow the game triggered the minigame that lets you escape, I kept moving the mouse as hard as I could but somehow it didn’t work this time 💀 I guess that was just the game rage baiting me 😭

This is the first time I’ve made it this far, in the run before this I died by an arrow from Laird when I was crawling.

Ah well, on the good side of things, at least now I have a very good grasp of the game, I’m confident that I could run through all the chapters with no issue save for the mines, next time I’m gonna try to conserve my battery better, most of it was wasted when I was getting lost but now since I practically memorized the objectives and the locations, I think the next run is gonna be it.

Wish me luck 🙏🏼

[REQUEST][Steam] Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii (-75%)

Hello everyone!

I’ve been a part of this community for a while now and seeing how gamers are willing to help each other enjoy the games they can’t afford is really heart warming.

I’m reaching out to y’all to see if someone is kind enough to help me get the game “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii”, it’s currently on a -75% discount and it costs $14.99 (in my region at least), here is the link to the game:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3061810/Like_a_Dragon_Pirate_Yakuza_in_Hawaii/

I’ve been interested in the Yakuza franchise for a while now, and since I really liked Pirate themed stuff then I’m sure that this one specifically would be right up my alley.

Now, I know you’re wondering why I didn’t get it myself, especially since it’s on sale for just 15 bucks, and that’s a fair question, I do buy games from time to time and specifically on big sales such as the summer and the winter sales, which is why you’ll see that I have plenty of games on my account (link down through the post), but I don’t always have the money or the means to use it as steam currency, I live in North Africa and it’s quite difficult to buy games around here, I can barely buy a few games on discount and I’ve never bought any game for full price, and as of now, I do not have any way of purchasing this game, so I figured I should see if there’s someone from this community that would be kind enough to help.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my post!

#13 - Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection

Great game, really enjoyed 100%-ing it, all of the achievements are super easy, even the hardest difficulty isn't that tough, I also really enjoyed the DLC, this was fun.

#12 - Cyberpunk 2077

Fantastic game, had a lot of fun 100%ing this one, my only gripe with the game is the bugs, some of which are game breaking even, but aside from that, it's peak.

If I were to give one piece of advice, I would say be careful of the one and only missable achievement "The Devil", you can avoid missing it pretty easily with a guide but if you don't wanna spoil yourself then I suggest making multiple save files at different points in the story, I needed to do a whole new playthrough to get it, and while it didn't take long, it would be much more efficient to just prepare for it beforehand.

#10 - SILENT HILL 2 + My collection so far

Completing Silent Hill 2 was a great experience, all achievements are pretty easy, and with a guide, you could probably do it even faster than me, my only gripe with the game was the terrible performance, the optimization is so bad, but aside from that, it's an amazing game.

Since this is the 10th completion then I decided to treat it like a milestone so I posted all my other completions as well, if you have any questions about any of them then feel free to ask.

I would also welcome any recommendations from you all if you have any!

#9 - Hades II

Fantastic game, I enjoyed every second of this completion, though it could get frustrating due some RNG shenanigans, which is why I highly recommend trying to max out all of your relationships with the different characters from the get go, as well as using a variety of weapons and their aspects in each run and not sticking to a particular loadout, especially if you're going into this blind like me.

#8 - REMATCH

Amazing game, even though I personally much prefer single player games but this one is just too good, I will absolutely continue playing it even after the 100%.

Achievements wise, it's pretty easy and it's not that grindy, by the time I reached level 30 I had only 1 achievement left, though I definitely recommend playing it with friends if possible, not only is it more fun but it makes the completion a lot easier and much faster as well, even faster than my own time, I could've easily gotten everything by the 25h mark if most of my playtime was with friends rather than with randoms but it was the other way around for me, friends help a lot especially when it comes to getting 100 goals, assists...etc.

#7 - Helltaker

Been working on completing several games recently so I took a break and completed this short free puzzle game, it's pretty cool.

The completion wasn't particularly difficult apart from the third phase of the final boss in the extra level.

I FINALLY DID IT!

After so many retries in a lot of sections of the DLC, I finally managed to get S+ on professional, it was very tough but the pay off at the end was very satisfying, especially for me as an achievement hunter.

I gotta say, imo Separate Ways is the best Resident Evil DLC, I loved each one I played but this is just on a league of its own.

Now I'll try to do the same in the main game, though I'm a bit worried because I'm already suffering with the village section 😭

#6 - Stray

The game was alright, I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would to be honest, maybe my expectations were too high but it's still a decent game and I had a fun time with it.

Achievements wise, everything is pretty easy, even the speedrun, the only annoying achievement was "Can't Cat-ch Me", took a pretty high number of tries to clear that section without the zurks grabbing you, aside from that, it was smooth sailing.

#5 - Resident Evil 4 (2005)

Loved this game, it truly is a timeless classic.

As for the 100%, well, everything went smoothly until I had to play on professional difficulty, it was brutal honestly, I did not expect it to be as hard as it is, that was the only hurdle for me, every other achievement was pretty easy.

#4 - Resident Evil Village

Amazing game, this was the first game I played after a long break from gaming due to life stuff and I couldn't ask for a better sequel to RE7 than this.

Achievements wise, everything was pretty easy to me, this game doesn't hold a candle to how difficult RE7's 100% was, mercenaries mode was a bit challenging but aside from that, it was a piece of cake for me personally.

Can I play Slay the Spire 2 without having played the first one?

Basically the title;

I really like the roguelike/roguelite genre and Slay the Spire has been on my radar for a while now, but with the sequel out, I’m unsure if I’m required to play the first one in order to enjoy the second or not.

I heard some people saying that it’s an upgraded version of the first game so it’s fine if I just dive into it but others said that it’s very important to play the first so I wanted to ask those of you that played both games, should I just buy Slay the Spire 2 or should I play Slay the Spire 1 first?

Basically, they’re both on sale for the exact same price in my region ($11.99), and I do want both games badly, but I can only afford one at the moment which made me a bit confused, so I wanted to ask you all which one do you consider a better game, I recognize that they’re both completely different games that belong to different genres, so what’s your recommendation?

Thank you all in advance!
