I have a 2022 Switch Lite, and earlier this year the LCD started having issues. I bought a replacement screen on AliExpress and replaced it, and so far everything has been working normally.

However, I know people who have replaced the screen twice and ended up with the same problem again. What actually causes this? Is there any way to prevent it?

Sorry if this is a common question, but I'm seriously considering selling my Switch Lite and maybe buying a newer revision (2024+) or getting a Switch OLED/V2 instead. It doesn't seem practical to own a console whose screen might keep failing because of what appears to be a chronic issue.

I was thinking about buying the SUPER5 OLED Kit, but it's out of stock, and shipping it to Brazil would make it way too expensive to be worth it.

Sorry if this post sounds alarmist, but I'm genuinely worried about it.

26M, I'm a pretty chill person. I play games for fun and I'm always open to trying new ones, depending on the genre.

I usually play Valorant, Dead by Daylight, and Stardew Valley. I have over 1,000 hours in Stardew and still haven't finished the Community Center. :')

I also enjoy co-op horror games on Roblox or just exploring random experiences.

I play on Steam/PC. I also have a Nintendo Switch, but I don't really play any co-op or multiplayer games on it.

I've also played Peak, Phasmophobia, Meccha Chamaleon, The Forest, Left 4 Dead 2, Fortnite, and Overwatch.

I'm looking for people around my age with a similar routine. I work a lot, so I usually only play at night or on weekends (GMT-3).

My english is pretty average, and one of the reasons I'm making this post in an eng speaking subreddit is because I'd like the chance to practice with people who are actually fluent. I probably won't understand everything you say at first, so I might ask you to slow down or repeat yourself sometimes. Please be patient with me. :')

Meu Switch Lite (fabricado em 2022) deu um problema crônico na tela esses dias. Comprei uma tela nova e pedi para um técnico de confiança fazer a substituição. No total, gastei R$400.

Nem preciso dizer que isso me desanimou bastante. Estou pensando seriamente em me desfazer dele.

Alguém que já passou por isso sabe dizer se esse tipo de problema costuma voltar, mesmo depois da troca da tela?
