He was injured in the recent past and the dessicated back foot was hanging on by some dead skin. Cut it off and gave him a soak. He was in the same spot later.
The pup did not injure or touch him, she was just curious.
For some reason I watched these movies several years ago when I went down an Uwe Boll rabbit hole. Obviously Citizen Vigilante is currently relevant, but I think these movies are probably more dangerous.

Edit to add info since people asked: I wear hearing aids, so I am probe to ear infections due to higher humidity and earwax being removed by the hearing aid tips.
I'm trying to figure out the best way to feed my 130 gal community frog terrarium (10 residents). I have a few feeding bowls throughout and load them up every other day with dubias or mealworms. Dubias keep managing to escape despite "escape proof bowls" or the frogs just knock them over. Can't do crickets.
Hand feeding isn't really practical, they hide very well.
I wish I had gotten a picture. I was shocked that someone stayed awake long enough to order them.
