Cut them off

If they stop communicating with me and I can tell I'm being ghosted, I will send a final message letting them know that ghosting is immature and cruel, and that I hope they can do better in the future. Give them a day to respond (they probably won't) and after 8 hours max after sending that final message, block them on every channel that I have their contact on. Then, delete their number and every message they've ever sent, unmatch everywhere - I do not give myself any chance to make contact with them again, no drunken texts because every trace has been deleted and there is no way to contact. But more importantly I don't give them a chance to come back in to my life and do it all again so block block block. It's helped me recover from ghosting episodes and it's what they deserve, to be completely cut off forever. Oh also never add them on socials in the first place. Love, a Scorpio x

Lodgers rights (barely exist)

Why weren't lodger agreements included in this year's tenants rights change? People living with live-in-landlords I think are more vulnerable. Deposits don't need to be in a protected scheme so landlords can find any flimsy reason to withhold the money. And these landlords are demanding 12 month contracts for the pleasure of living with them. Frustrating!

Lodger agreement - advice please!

I'm currently a lodger in a house where landlord A is away 2 weeks a month. When I moved in his partner was full time landlord (B) and my lodger agreement has the name of the ex partner B as the landlord only. They split up and he moved out a couple of months ago. My contract converted to a rolling contract after 12 months so I'm on a one month notice period. I started paying my rent in to a different bank account owned just by A.

I feel exposed that my only agreement is with the ex partner and the partner who is in the house wouldn't have any reason to honour my deposit. Based on this I want to politely suggest that they use my deposit in place of my last month's rent (I want to move out asap!). What are the risks?

To add: it was a joint bank account and I think they're both still named on the mortgage

As far as I'm aware they are both still named on mortgage

To add: A is greedy and ruthless so I'm worried he just won't pay it back to me

Are Ghosters scared?

Do Ghosters live in constant fear that they will bump into the people they've ghosted?? How do they sleep?

To add: I know they don't care about their Ghostees or they wouldn't ghost but don't they have embarrassment about seeing the person by accident in real life after the ghosting? Like I imagine they think oh I'll never see them again it's fine....and then boom! They're at the supermarket!

Mortgage checks, No utility bills, banks linked to parents address

Hiya!

I'm about to embark on the shared ownership journey and am in a little pickle. I am a lodger in a house in London, and am registered here on the electoral roll to vote. All my bank accounts have always been registered at my parents address in another UK City just because it was always easier that way and it's been about 18 years of that being the case. I can't get any utility bills here as landlord pays the bills (my rent includes bills) so what's a girl to do when applying for the affordability assessments (using censeo)? Should I get on the electoral roll at my parents address there and just use that address for my application? Or should I change one of my bank accounts to this London address? Still doesn't get my utility bill problem resolved though...thanks for any advice!
