Hi, I’ve got a 2025 Tucson Hybrid Ultimate that’s been with me for about eight months, and I’ve driven it 13,000 kilometres (8,000 miles). I took it to the dealership for my 2nd service and a recall. The service tech told me to replace the rear rotor and brake pads because they’re worn out. I usually drive on the highway and don’t ride my brakes. I keep the regen brakes at level 0 (off).
Is it typical for rotors to wear out so quickly?
The tech told me that this is a common problem with hybrid cars, and a RAV4 also had the same issue.
Since he has showed me pics of worn out brake pads I have decided to get new ones this weekend.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, I’m on the lookout for a company that can take away my old water softener in Cambridge. I recently had a plumber install a new one, but he’s been out of touch for the last month and hasn’t answered my calls/messages. I’m not familiar with any removal services in the area. The old equipment is quite heavy and difficult for me to manage on my own.
Any advice or a rough idea of the cost would be greatly appreciated.
